Chase had heard the car pull up and it brought a ghost of a smile to his lips. He knew his position on the roof would be plenty appreciated by his lovely realtor friend so he didn’t bother with acknowledging Seeley’s arrival, he simply continued to lay down new shingles. The covered porch had been fixed, with the exception of painting and staining, so Chase figured he might as well get around to finishing off the roof. He originally suggested to Seeley they go for tin because who didn’t like the sound of rain tip-tapping on it and it would weather better than traditional shingles. Seeley disagreed, said it would never sell in this neighborhood. They opted for faintly green shingles to go with the dark grey siding and white trim, two things Seeley still needed to get done.
