Adrian's POV
Mary packed for Celeste, as she was still sleeping off the exhaustion from her first shift. I knew I would have to carry her to the emergency off-road Jeep. I had wanted to leave now, but we don’t know how long we will be gone for, hence the excessive packing. We needed to be prepared for anything.
It will take some time to get to the unmarked territory, so I am grateful that Alpha Matthews has agreed to let us stay at least one night. King Erebus and Alpha Mathews were raised together as children, so they had a close bond.
