King Erebus is escorting me away from the ballroom. As he does, he hands me a handkerchief and I look at him quizzically. He points to my face and I wipe it. Blood stains the white cloth. I didn’t realize that I had been bleeding. Then I stop in my tracks. Why is he leading me away from my mate?
“What are you doing?” I asked, “I should be with her!”
