Chapter 3: The Interview
I admit, Gloria got me the interview at Sinn Realty, a rather new realty company in the Pittsburgh area. Gloria’s friend of a friend just happened to be looking for a well-versed and highly experienced realtor, which I felt qualified for, having sold over hundreds of high-end properties in my career. Gloria had keenly brought up my name in one of her conversations. Thereafter, Sinn wanted to interview me, interested in what I had to tell them about my realty life.
My resume spoke for itself and could get me hired just about anywhere. I had a degree in business from Templeton College, had a minor in art from the college, and graduated with honors. I obtained a position at Howard Hannah for approximately five years and realized Breeze Realty just happened to be a better fit for me.
Sinn Realty might have been a step backwards for me, but I had grown weary of the uppity bullshit at Breeze—an exhausting daily ritual of he said, she said, stinging attitudes, and dog-eat-dog methods regarding the purchasing and selling of expensive properties. Unlike Breeze, Sinn had just turned a year old. I would be replacing Vivian Leeroy, who moved to Puerto Rico with her lover to live a happy-ever-after life along the Atlantic Ocean and devour shrimp salads. Sinn had been looking for her replacement for the last month.
