Growing up life was hard; a lot of random rogue attacks across many pack territories.

Most of the time several packs had to join forces to fight against the rogues to gain peace or even combine lands to build a bigger pack.

My father, the late Alpha, fought in many battles and created many allies to secure peace.

Two of our close allies are The Demon Pack and The Moon Goddess Pack. These packs are reliable and we have each other's back as well as train together on many occasions.

I took over as Alpha when I was only nineteen years old and by that time I had found my mate.

We grew up in the same pack so I was happy that I didn't have to wait and search for her.

Catherine was very beautiful; she had golden blonde hair and smooth soft skin that glowed in the sunlight and her body was perfect.

Catherine's, mother was one of our pack doctors so needless to say I saw her often, but never really hung out with her.

I always had a crush on her, but a connection with my future mate was always more important than a crush.

Turning back to human form I approached her slowly keeping eye contact. She then turned human form as well and that is when I realized that it was Catherine.

For a while, the pack and the lands were peaceful until a rogue attack five years after my son Derek, was born.

During the rogue attack, I lost my Luna, my mate, she was killed trying to protect some of the wolves and pups of our pack.

Catherine, death hit me hard, and it was getting very difficult to focus on my Alpha tasks. The pack started fearing that I might go rogue because of my loss.

Somehow Derek was able to get me out of my depression and get me back to me as leader of the Shadow Moon Pack.

Years later the moon goddess blessed me with a second chance mate, I never thought I would have another opportunity to have love in my life.

Derek had just turned seven years old when Sophie, came into our life. The pack was ecstatic that they got a new Luna to ensure our pack's success.

It was around seven years later, that I had another son Eric, and My older son Derek, was already training to become the next Alpha, but also this was the year our peace was no more.

Alot of things were changing in the supernatural world, something was happening; we just didn't know when and where the evil would show its ugly head.

I started to double the guards around our territory so if anything would occur my men would be ready.

One early morning I was woken out of my sleep, it was still dark outside when one of the guards' minds linked me to notifying me that something was running around our territory borderline.

I quickly got up and told Sophia, to take our son to the dungeon to hide. I didn't want to lose her as well to a rogue attack, better be safe than sorry.

As I was approaching the territory borderlands not only did the air smell unfamiliar. But the mixture of rogue and something else but I wasn't exactly sure.

My men gathered next to me including my beta Max and my gamma Tony. We heard footsteps approaching, we weren't sure where they were coming from but then a roar.

We spotted a pup running into the clearing but then she collapsed. Then a dozen rogues emerged and started to attack the pup.

I lead my men towards the rogues and mind-linking all of them letting them know to leave one rogue alive for questioning.

As the rogue lay dead, my beta took the one rogue as a prisoner to be chained up until I was ready to see him.

I approached the pup to check to see if she was dead, she was barely breathing so I took her to the pack hospital right away.

She had bruises and cuts all over from head to toe; I had never seen a wolf with silver hair before, she was a one-of-a-kind wolf.

Weeks had passed and our new visitor had been in a coma; not sure if she would ever wake up.

The rogue that we had captured didn't give us any valuable information, so we killed him.

Every day after grooming my son Derek, to be the strongest and the smartest wolf in our pack; I would visit her.

Sophia was getting very upset about how much time I was spending in the hospital instead of spending time with her.

I know Sophia, could be a handful at times but Derek needed a mother and my pack needed their Luna.

I was glad that my gamma Tony told me that his daughter Carmen, volunteered to help me with our guest.

The nurses reported to me that Carmen comes every day to the hospital. She even gave our mystery guest the name Sunny.

The doctors informed me that Sunny still didn't show any signs of waking up.

Sophia started to complain more about kicking Sonny, out of the pack. She argued that Sunny was probably a rogue and we could not trust her.

She could be dangerous to us, Sophie kept saying to me. I visited the hospital less just to please Sophia, but I was glad that Carmen was there just in case Sunny woke up.

One Sunday evening after two months of Sunny, being in a coma she finally woke up. The nurse mindlink me to come to the hospital.

Once I arrived I spotted Carmen and asked her what happened. I was just starting to read to her when she woke up she said.

I asked Carmen, where was Sunny, then the room door opened as a nurse rolled in Sunny. Once the nurse put Sunny back in her bed the nurse told me they were testing her for any possible brain damage.

Sunny finally looked up at me, I had never seen a wolf with eyes like hers; blue and green, who and what was she?

After a week the hospital finally released her and by that time the only thing she could remember before the attack was her name. Which is Layla, and she was ten years old.

I wanted her to live with me In the pack house but Sophie refused so I took her to the pack orphanage.

Many children do get adopted there, I was hoping that a family would take her in one day.

I allowed Layla, to train with the other pups once she was ready. I had her train in the group with Carmen, so she could feel more comfortable. It was important for her to know how to defend herself.

Some of the other adults even children would shy away from her because of how she looked. Most of the pack members treated her like an outcast.

They wouldn't even celebrate her birthday with the other pups her age even when she shifted for the first time she only had myself and Carmen's, family to support her. I'm glad that she has Carmen, in her life.

After Layla, got her wolf at thirteen she started working in the pack house as a maid.

I told her that wasn't necessary but she wanted to earn her keep and I was proud of her for that.
