“Mark, I think we need to get back to the pack. We shouldn’t be in this kind of area. We can spot rogues living here. It’s a human land.” Kayden says.
We’ve been here for I think six hours now. After Angel left angrily to me, I decided to go here and have a drink. I've never been in here but I hear from the other friend of mine that there’s a bar near the territory where I can cool off. I can see a lot of humans here and teenagers to be exact.
Few girls tried to approach me but I disregard them. I’m not here for s3x. I just want to cool off and think and drink.
“Kayden, you should relax and sit down. I have been sensing rogues around but I don’t feel like killing them now. They might be in here or living in this area.” I informed him.
He became alert all of the sudden. He moves and looks around the bar.
“What is it?” I asked.
“I don’t know, but I feel something. Wait, I’ll go find it.” He said before leaving me.
Another girl looks in my way but I ignore her and look away.
“Another glass,” I said to the bartender.
He then gave me another glass of drink.
I started to think. There’s no way that Angel could forgive me if I continue doing what I did to those rogues. I can’t even say to myself that I can stop but I will try. I don’t want to leave in this hatred anymore. My pack needs a leader and a leader that still has heart, but how?
I’m in deep thought when Kayden came back smiling at me. He is holding a girl that I smell like a rogue. I raise my eyebrow ‘Why did you bring a rogue in front of me’
“Alpha, this is my mate, Allie,” Kayden says.
I look at the girl and she seems afraid of me. Well, who will not? A rogue in front of an Alpha.
“I’m happy for you Kayden. You can bring her to the pack tomorrow. I will let someone pick her.” I said.
“I-I can’t leave this alone. My friend will be sad.” She said.
Like I care? She’s a rogue and she’s lucky because if she’s not Kayden’s mate I will not let her join my pack.
“Alpha, Allie told me that she’s been living there for more than three years now and she met a girl named Wendy two years ago. They are like sisters. Can we accept Wendy too in our pack? I’m sure they will not bring harm.” Kayden says. I can hint that he is begging me to agree with this. I guess her mate will not come with him if that Wendy rogue will not be allowed to come with us.
“We can talk about it later,” I said.
“I will not leave Wendy alone Alpha, Kayden. I’m sorry.” Allie said.
Kayden looked at me. I don’t like it when someone makes me feel that I don’t have a choice.
‘There’s nothing wrong adding one to the pack. If she became a problem in the pack then we kill that Wendy. Kayden is our right hand, we can make excuse for him.’ Stallion said all of the sudden.
I look at Kayden and his mate. “Okay, you can bring that girl too in the pack but once she became wild and harm our pack members, I will kill her,” I said.
That makes them smile and look at each other. The kind of feelings I’ve lost a long time ago. I move and leave them. I sense another rogue outside the door near the restroom. I open it and see a girl kneeling in front of a stray dog.
She’s a rogue but there’s a feeling inside me that seems okay with her presence. She’s smiling while patting the dog’s head while giving him some leftover food.
She seems to acknowledge my presence as she turns to the side and our eyes met. I stared at her, at first you will mistake her for looking for Angel. They got similar features but once you look closer and clearer, they are not the same at all.
“Customers are not allowed here.” She says.
“I just want some air out here. I’ll be leaving after a few minutes.” I said.
“Then I leave you here.” She says.
I don’t even know her name.
My body suddenly moves and grabs her hand. She looks surprised as well as I am.
“Can you stay for a little longer?” I asked.
I don’t know if this is just because she somehow resembles Angel’s or something. I feel comfortable in her presence.
‘She’s a rogue. I thought you dislike them all.’ Stallion said inside me.
That’s true but I like her being around. She stares at me for a moment and looks at my hand holding hers. I immediately let her hand go.
“I still got fifteen minutes before my break ends.” She says and kneels again to the stray puppy.
“Thanks. I’m Mark by the way.”
“I’m Wen. Nice to meet you, Mark. You’re an alpha, right? I can sense it.”
“Yes, I am. You’re a rogue, how come?” I asked.
“A very long story to be discussed for less than fifteen minutes.” She says while putting back the stray dog into a box near the door. I think she’s keeping it there. “How about you? This side of the land is rarely visited by packs member or their leaders. Why are you here?”
“Just passing time. I think I need a drink even if it will not totally affect my system. I need some air to think about something.”
“Something? Or someone?”
“Actually both. I did things that make someone so mad and disappointed in me.”
“Is she your mate or girlfriend?”
“None of the above.” I smile. I feel like she wanted to know if I’m in a relationship. I look at her and she blushes for a moment. “She’s a roguelike you before I helped her and turn her into my pack members. She becomes my little sister but she’s not in the pack anymore since she becomes the Luna of Moon Crescent pack.”
“Oh, I know that pack. Their Alpha help one of our pack members when his mate was kidnapped by a rogue.” She said.
“Which pack did you come from?”
“Let’s not talk about it. I don’t want to associate my name with that pack anymore.” She says.
“I feel like you’re hiding from someone or you’re trying to leave alone. It’s not healthy for your wolf.” I said.
“My time is up. I’ll be going back now. It’ nice talking to you Mark.” She said avoiding the topic.
“You too,” I said.
A few minutes after Wen left, Kayden found me.
“Mark, thank you for letting Allie and Wendy join our pack. This is a big favor for me.” Kayden says.
“I don’t want you to live away from your mate. The other wolf is a problem only if she doesn’t behave right.”
“Still, thank you, Mark.”
“We can leave now, let someone get them tomorrow. We will be busy talking to the warriors regarding our rules in the pack.” I said.
“Are you considering what Angel told you a long time ago?” Kayden said.
“I do.”
“Okay Mark, I just tell Allie to pack now and that we’re leaving too,” Kayden says before leaving.
‘He looks happy.’ I said to my wolf.
‘We can still have a choice mate.’ I remember Angel’s words in my head.
