The Dark Lady Revealed
On the Monday after the Thanksgiving weekend she received a new text from Roth. For the first time she was told to go directly to his apartment instead of to 9C. So the guardian of the underworld was taking a vacation. Perhaps she was out of town, or more likely had grown tired of assisting Roth in his “hobby.” Either way Gail wouldn’t miss her.
The next day she received another surprise package from Roth. In it was a red tartan pleated skirt and a black tie. The accompanying note told her to wear the items Friday along with the white blouse, white knee socks and a pair of flat shoes, with white cotton panties underneath the skirt.
