Ynna exited the auditorium, since Rex had yet to arrive. She's been looking for him all day but hasn't been able to find him. As a result, she didn't even try on the various student-day boots.
She took her phone from her bag and dialed his number, but he did not respond. So she stuffed her phone back into her bag, assuming he was on his way and hadn't heard her call.
"Ynna, come inside." Her friend called her.
"Wait," she said, looking at the university gate, "I'll just wait a minute for Rex."
"They're going to announce the winners of the teen romance writing competition. She looked at her friend.
"Is that so?"
"Yes, so come on." Her friend approached her and pulled her back to the theater hall.
"Hurry up, they may have called your name, but you haven't arrived yet."
