Going with the Flow
A week had passed since Junior’s disappearance. Though she remained terribly distraught, Talia had regained her composure.
Now that Alexander had stopped being so obstinately cavalier about the situation, and had hired some outside help, she was relieved of at least her most immediate frustration.
Myers, the man the detective agency sent out to interview her, had been impressively thorough. Rather than trying to mollify her with empty platitudes as the police had, he’d agreed with her that Rachel Blaine was the likeliest suspect, and had expressed a confidence in tracking her down that rang reasonably honest. With a proper investigation underway, Talia now found herself motivated to begin taking positive action herself.
