THIRD PERSON She followed Hilda across a corridor to a room at the far corner of the hall. The door was a deep shade of brown and covered in a thick layer of varnish, which made it smooth and glossy. Hilda turned the brass doorknob and opened the door. Songnara followed her inside.   The room was relatively small. It had a queen-sized bed in the corner next to a window draped in lace curtains. The walls were decorated with cream-coloured patterned wallpaper, and both the closet and the side table had similar carvings on the wood.
