“Na-nalowbat kasi ako, bakit?” nagugulumihan pa rin siya sa reaction nito.
“I kinda waited for you. I bought cake and some yummy foods, I even cooked steak. But it’s okay, we can re-heat some stuff.”
“Cake?” she repeated.
“It’s my birthday today,” napangisi lang ito at napakamot saglit sa ulo. “Just a ‘lil celebration.”
“Oh my gosh, really?” gulat niya. Hindi din kasi siya nag-tsek ng social media today. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay,” he sat on the sofa, still looking at her habang inaayos niya ang sarili niya. He made her sit on the other end of the couch. “We have quite a bit of celebration in the office.”
