Valentina's p.o.v

Finally, my mate decides we can take a break. Since we met and I brought him up to my room for us to get to know each other, we have not left. I lost my virginity and we have been having non stop s3x ever since. It hurt at first, but now he makes me feel wonderful. At first, I was afraid. I thought he would not want me, since I am bigger and all, but he has made me feel so loved and so wanted. It is amazing. This mate bond stuff really is great. We marked each other and I am supposed to go back home with him tonight, to be the Luna to his pack, but I have not told him that I have no wolf. I called a meeting with dad so he can be there when I tell him. We are heading there now. We walk out of my room, and he has men waiting all through this hallway, guarding him or us now I guess. I hope he doesn't feel unsafe here. As we approach one of his men, I notice how the guy looks at me like I am his next meal. I shiver, feeling grossed out. I look at Charlie, but he is now in a full-blown conversation with him and I do not think he noticed it. Maybe it is just my imagination. I shake my head and he has the man follow us to the office. All 3 of us walk inside "Alpha Liam," my mate greets dad, and gives him a small bow. "Alpha Charlie, babygirl, Beta Phil", dad says. So he is the beta. Good, at least I now know.

"Alpha Charlie. Valentina wanted us to have this meeting with you, because you are her mate and there's a big secret we have been keeping." dad tells him. Charlie looks at me and I get scared and look down at my feet. "When Valentina turned 18, she was not able to shift. She does not have a wolf. We have kept this a secret, to keep her safe. We have been trying to get help from a family witch, but we haven't been able to get a hold of her, so for now, this is where we are at. Valentina is safe and since she is your mate I think you should know," dad tells him. I can feel the burning stare from Charlie. "So, she is basically a weak human?" Beta Phil asks. Dad growls. "Watch it Beta" dad says. "Phil," Charlie says, and shakes his head. "It's okay, she is my mate and I will protect her from here on out. I will keep her safe in my pack." Charlie says and I sigh, feeling relieved. Dad smiles. "Good to hear this." dad says. "We are leaving tonight. Valentina can pack whatever she wants to bring. She won't need much in my pack though," Charlie says. Dad comes over and hugs me and kisses my head. "Now, if you all will excuse me, I just finished a training session and I am going to go look for your mother. Pack up and we will see you guys for dinner so you can say goodbye to everyone." dad tells me and he walks out. "Why didn't you tell me?" Charlie asks me as soon as dad is out the door. "Sorry, I meant to, but then we got all caught up." I whisper. I notice the look he gives the beta, who smirks. "It's okay, let's go back to your room," he says, and pulls me out of dad's office. We get back to my room and he helps me pack. I barely pack one bag. He tells me I don't need all of these clothes and that he will buy me whatever I want there, so I just bring some things that mean a lot to me. My jewelry and my locket that I share with mom and Cat. Charlie decides we should have s3x one last time before we go downstairs for dinner. "I want you to reek like me. I want no man to even look your way. For everyone to know that you belong to me and the Crimson Pack," he tells me and grabs me and throws me on the bed with little effort. This man is so strong. He rips my clothes off and has his way with me, but at the same time makes me c*m and see stars. The feeling of the sparks all over my body has me c*mming back to back. He finally c*ms with a growl and bites my boob and I yelp. He spits out blood and I look down and he bit a chunk of my skin. I look on in horror, but he just laughs. "Sorry sweetheart, I got over excited and bit off a little more." He says and licks me. I do not heal like a normal werewolf, so I am bleeding. I jump off the bed and go to my restroom. I grab the first aid kit and take care of it myself. When I come back in the room, he is already dressed and talking to his beta at the door. I hurry and put clothes on a loose shirt that covers everything and some tight blue jeans with a pair of boots. This is so Cat's style. She will love this outfit. I think to myself. I spray myself with perfume and comb my hair real quick and walk to the door. I put my hand on Charlie's back and he turns around and leads me out. We walk behind his Beta, making our way downstairs.

Catalina's p.o.v

Training got to be a little too much. Valen kind of sort of knocked Joel out. He broke his nose and sent him to the hospital. I get out of the shower and I contemplate sending him a quick message to see if he is okay, but I do not want him to think anything else of it. I mean, I did tell him I would think about us texting or talking about what happened, so this could be an opener for this. Dad told us all that there's a big important dinner tonight, so I hurry to get ready. I will just text him later. He will actually probably be at dinner. Maybe we should talk to clear the air. My phone dings and I swear his ears must have been burning, because it is him. "I'm alive, no need to worry about me. I am strong." he texts with a picture of him looking brand new. I am about to reply when there is a knock on my door. I go and open it and it is Zeus. "Hello, I am here to escort you to this fancy shmancy dinner your Alpha has called," he says, and I laugh and loop my arm through his and we head down. He talks about what happened during training and at this point I don't want to hear it anymore, so I change the conversation and tell him about the place I want to take them to tonight.

We arrive downstairs and I notice all of the Alpha's in a circle talking, probably discussing pack things. I am so drawn to him, that my eyes just spot him in the middle of the room, surrounded by all of the other men. My eyes and Valen's eyes connect and I can't seem to look away. Zeus clears his throat. "So, about tonight, Madeline and Christoph won't be able to go, because they have their daughter Mae and Valen won't want to leave Aurora alone." he says and my mood sours. "What if I get a babysitter for them both?" I ask him and he shrugs. I see Valentina standing off to the side looking mad awkward, so I wave her over. She looks at me and smiles brightly and begins walking over to us. "Wow" Zeus whispers, his eyes on my sister. "Who is this goddess walking towards me?" he asks. "Hey" Valentina says. "Zeus, this is Valentina, remember I was telling you about her?" I ask him and he nods. I see that she is sporting a brand new mark and that makes me sad for some reason. I guess it is official. She accepted her mate. "I have called you all here, because we are all going to be saying goodbye to my daughter Valentina. She will be leaving tonight with her mate to his pack, her new pack," dad announces and my heart drops. I find Nico in the crowd of people. He must have the same look of horror in his eyes that I am sure I have right now. "He can't protect her" I mind link my family members except for Valentina. I don't think she can even mind link us anymore. Dad's eyes cut to me. He sighs. "Everyone, have a seat." he says, and I am walking to the head table with all of my family in it, but I notice that Joel and his parents and the pregnant she-wolf all took a seat there, so I just stand here awkwardly like a duma$$. This is my pack and I am allowing them to do whatever they want. "Hey munchkin," my uncles walk past me. "Hey uncle Casey, uncle Luke, uncle Ryan, and uncle Brody" I say. I notice uncle Casey and uncle Luke go sit with their families at the same table as Valen and his pack, so I walk over to their table. I sit next to my cousin Jasmine. "Hey Jas, can I sit here?" I ask her and she just gives me a funny look. My cousin is not a woman of many words. In fact, they say, when she was little, she hardly ever spoke. She is close to Nico. He protects her like he does with Valentina and I. I sit next to my cousin and Valen is on the other side of me. "You look beautiful", he whispers, and I look down at my clothes. Good thing I actually tried a bit tonight. "Thanks" I whisper back. He grins at me. We easily fall into conversation. I love how I don't have to try with him. I talk to him about training and leaving to the academy. He encourages me and tells me he hopes I learn a lot there. Once dessert is brought out, dad stands up and gives a speech about his babygirl finding her mate and all this mushy stuff. I feel eyes on me and I find Joel glaring my way. I look at him and his eyes soften and he gives me a soft smile that I try to reciprocate. "Don't smile like that Cat, you look constipated", Uncle Casey tells me, and aunt Zara smacks him. I burst out laughing. "Goddess, why did I come sit here? I should have eaten in the kitchen with the Omegas" I mumble. "You should have eaten with Turkey. I would have joined you cousin. I hate events like this," Jasmine says. I laugh. "How is that damn cat still alive?" Uncle Casey asks and we shrug. "Who knows, guess it really does have 9 lives", I tell him. The rest of the dinner goes by and soon we are all huddled up as I tell Valen and his friends that I found a babysitter and they can all go out tonight. They seem a little hesitant. "Don't you guys trust me? You guys think I would put those 2 beautiful little girls in any danger?" I ask them. They all shake their heads. "Great. I am having someone keep them in Valentina's room since she's leaving tonight." I say and sadness floods me. My sister, the person I have always had to protect, is leaving. It's scary knowing that I won't be there to protect her anymore. Lets go, I need to get some things from my room", I tell them. We walk back down the hall and we hear people shouting.

Joel's p.o.v

Earlier I sent a picture of myself and a text saying that I am fine to my mate. She didn't respond, but I can tell she read it. I planned on talking to Griffy, but my parents showed up and it was impossible, so now I am going to do it as soon as this dinner is over. I am sitting here almost raging, because Cat sat at a different table from me and her family. She looks so beautiful, but my wolf and I are not happy with her sitting with that certain group. Not her family, the other people. She finally looks at me, and I smile at her and she smiles back. I almost jump for joy. That is something. I think she is starting to come around. "Why are you looking at that table?" Griffy whispers and I just ignore her. All throughout dinner I watch that Alpha get so close to my mate. He even touches her face and that is when I lose it. I have to step out a bit before dinner is over, before I make a scene and embarrass us all. I walk to the living room and breathe in and out. A couple of minutes later, I hear people begin to exit the dining hall. I see Griffy and now is as good of a time as ever, so I pull her off to the side to a hallway.

"Griffy, we need to talk." I tell her. "Oh, is it about the baby?" she asks me and I shake my head, but then nod. "yes and no. Look, we made a mistake, we both know that. What happened between us was just a drunken mistake. I have a mate." I begin to tell her. "Did that b!tch put you up to this? You train with her and now you are leaving us." she tells me. I sigh. "I am not leaving you guys. You and I are just friends and I will always be there for our baby." I tell her. "Well, to me, it wasn't just a drunken mistake, Joel. I love you." she begins to get loud. "Calm down Griffy. We can raise our pup. We can make a schedule. You keep our pup during the week and me during the weekend if that works for you. We can split holidays. We will make it work, but the best thing for our pup is for us to be happy and that will only happen if we are with our mates. You will find your mate and he will make you happy. Our pup will be happy as long as we are happy." I say and she laughs. "Joel, you don't understand. I thought you and I were going to start a family now that you got me pregnant. This wasn't a drunken mistake to me and now I expect you to man up and mark me. We have to raise our pup together in the same house. You need to reject your mate." she tells me, and I shake my head. "You better Joel. I am carrying your pup. You reject her or I will k!ll myself and k!ll your pup that grows in my belly as well." she shouts. At that exact moment, Cat is walking by with all of her new friends and they all stare at us, looking shocked. I am sure they heard it all. "Griffy turns around and she growls. "This is all your fault you wh0re" she yells and begins to run towards Cat, but that Alpha stands in front of her and Griffy runs into him instead. "What the h3ll is going on here?" he asks and sh!t couldn't have gone any more wrong. Dad and Alpha Liam show up. Surely Cat mind linked them. They come in and are trying to calm Griffy down, who keeps repeating that she will k!ll herself and our pup will d!e with her and dad mind links me to calm her down. "Griffy, calm down." I say. "Tell me you won't leave me and our pup" she cries. "Just tell her what she has to hear right now. She can't hurt my pup, later we will figure out a way to be with Cat." my wolf tells me. I look over at Cat and she has a sad look on her face, but she is busy talking with her group of friends. I try to whisper because I don't want anyone to hear. "I'm not going to leave you guys Griffy. You and my pup come before anyone else. Forget that I said anything. I'm not going anywhere." I whisper and Griffy smiles widely and rubs her belly. "You hear that baby, daddy loves us and only us." she says loudly. The group walks away towards the bedrooms and I notice Griffy's smirk. I am pissed, she knows she has me wrapped around her finger right now that she is pregnant with my pup.

Catalina's p.o.v

Wow, that was awkward. Joel and his babymama just had a whole drama novela in front of everyone where he admitted that she and their pup come before anyone aka me, and he told her that he is not leaving her. I am pissed, because I do not understand why he won't accept the rejection. I think he wants to have his cake and eat it too and that is not fair to me. I am embarrassed though, because Valen and his pack members basically over heard my mate claim another she wolf right in front of me. Not being wanted by your own mate really does hurt. I have no idea how one even gets over these feelings. Betrayal, heartbreak, heartache, disappointment, anger, but like always, since Joel came home with that woman, I suck it all down and keep moving with my life. I put on a smile and we head off to my room to grab my things and bring the girls to their babysitter.

"Bye," we wave as we leave. They will be hanging out with a trusted friend who's mom works cleaning the Alpha floor. I know her from high school and sometimes she comes to help her mom. I remember mom mentioning that she was doing odd jobs for extra money and she is the perfect choice for a babysitter. My phone dings and I look at it and it is Joel. "Kitty, cat. I am so sorry you had to hear that. She means nothing. You have to know. She threatened to kill herself and my pup, so I had to tell her that so she can calm down." he texts me and I roll my eyes. "Let me see" Zeus says and grabs my phone and reads the message out loud as we make our way outside. "What are you going to write back" Madeline asks me. "I will save me the bad moment and will continue to ignore him." I tell her. "Good, he doesn't deserve you." she says and they all nod. "My pride is too big anyway, I will never humiliate myself for any man, mate or not." I tell them and I spot Valentina and my family. Surely she is leaving and seeing her with her mate and her bag packed makes me want to cry. My eyes get watery. "Don't cry Cat, lets go have fun. He isn't worth it." Madeline tells me and gives me a side hug. "Oh, I am not crying or upset because of him. He would make my life easier if he would just accept my rejection. I am upset that Valentina is leaving with her mate." I say, and run to my sister and give her the biggest hug I can. I pull away and the tears begin falling. "Don't leave sister. I need you." I tell her. She wipes my tears and I see tears forming in her eyes too. "I am going to miss you so much, but I will come visit and you can go visit me, right?" she asks her mate, who eyes me up and down-"Of course, my sister-in law is always welcome at my pack." he says. I ignore him "Call or text me for anything, okay. If you need me, I will shift and run to you. You aren't too far. If you need me to protect you, just call me Valentina, got it?" I ask her and she nods. "Bye," I whisper and she hugs me again. "We should get going," her mate tells her. "You better take care of my sister. If I get even one complaint, you are dead. I will chop your d!ck off and feed it to our cat." I tell him and notice that every man's hand went to their d!ck. I shake my head. "Catalina" dad growls. "What?" I says and shrug. "He has been warned," I say. Out of no where, one of our men who patrols the border comes with someone that is not from our pack. "Alpha" he bows and dad nods. "This man comes here with a note. He is looking for Nico. He is being summoned by the Wilder pack." he says, and my parents both stiffen. I decide it's time for us to go, so we walk away towards my car, feeling sadder than ever.

"You okay? If you want, we don't have to go out." Valen tells me, but I shake my head. "No way. I need to go out and clear my mind. My sister leaving with her mate messed me up." I say. "It will be okay. We are wolves, this is what we do." Christoph says and I nod. "I know, but Valentina is different." I say and look around. "Can you drive?" I ask Christoph and he nods. He and his mate get in the front seats and I sit in the middle of Zeus and Valen. "Why is Valentina different?" Zeus asks and I smile. That didn't go past his head. He's smart. "When Valentina turned 18, she wasn't able to shift into her wolf. I recently found out that she has a wolf, because she was able to scent her mate out. We haven't had time to discuss it. Her mate is Alpha Charlie and he is rumored to be the worst Alpha and I do not get a good vibe from him. I feel like he rushed my sister to mark and mate. I hate it. Maybe it's just me being over protective because I have been the one protecting her. In high school, people tried to bully her and I had to shut it down." I say "That's why you were always fighting and getting suspended" Madeline says, and I nod. "My sister doesn't know how to fight. She has no wolf. She is all sweetness and brains. She is so smart, but I think she won't be smart in the love or mate department. She is very innocent. She thinks everyone is good. I just have a bad feeling he will hurt her," I tell them. "She's lucky to have you as a sister." Valen tells me and puts his arm around my shoulder and brings me closer to him. He makes me feel calm. "She will be okay and if she isn't, we got your back." he tells me and I can't help but look up at him. I smile. "Now, where are we going?" Christoph asks and I gasp "Oh, here," I hand him my phone with the gps so he can get there. We arrive to a club. I want to dance and drink and forget everything. "Oh, yea, right on." Zeus says. "Finally, a night out. I am going to dance all night.", Madeline says. Christoph and Valen don't look too thrilled, but don't say anything. We walk up and the security guard is from my pack so we are let in right away.

Valen's p.o.v

We arrive to a club/bar place, and I am glad to be here, helping Catalina de-stress. I never want to see her cry ever again, so I will try my best to make her night a little better. She is extremely sad about her sister moving away and, although she doesn't want to be with her mate, I am sure it's hard hearing your mate not want you or claim his new family in your face. That guy is an id!ot though. Hopefully, she isn't too torn about it. We get inside and there are so many people in here, and I do not want to lose her and I also do not want any male getting close to her, so I grab her hand and squeeze it and bring her in so she is as close to me as possible. She looks up at me and gives me the most beautiful smile and I am already hooked on it. I want to see her smile more often.

Drinks are flowing and everyone is loosening up. Cat is smiling. She looks like she is back to her normally cheerful self. She grabs Madeline's hand and they begin dancing. She even pulls Madeline up on a table. Christoph's mouth hangs open. We are all shocked. Madeline is quiet and keeps to herself. We have never seen her act wild, but we love that she is letting loose. Christoph is smiling, watching her. Cat whispers in Madeline's ear and we get mind links from Madeline. She counts with her fingers and at 3 they both jump off the table. Madeline jumps on her mate and Cat jumps on me. We catch them with ease and they are both laughing. Zeus is laughing off to the side. "Who's idea was that?" he asks. Cat points at herself and Madeline points at Cat. "Of course it is, Cat is always doing some Cat Sh!t." Zeus says and we all begin laughing. The night flies by. We drink, and dance. Cat never separates from me. I do not dance, but I let her dance on me. She turns around and loops her hands around my neck and pulls my neck down. She is so beautiful and I see the twinkle in her eye. Maybe it is the alcohol, but I doubt it. She is a werewolf. We do not get drunk easily. "You want to make out?" I jokingly ask her and at first she looks at me with her wide eyes, but then shrugs and comes in and kisses me. We make out, right there in the middle of the club. No care in the world.

We finally leave the club around midnight and Cat brings us to the river. Poor Madeline got dragged into it, but she was down to do it, but Christoph had her keep her clothes on. Cat Begins stripping and I put my hand out. "We won Cat, we don't have to jump in." I remind her. She looks at my friends. "Lets jump too. The water will surprise you," she tells us and is about to take off her clothes, but stops herself after looking at me. She smiles and just jumps in. We all jump in behind her. I am surprised that the water is so warm. "It is scary a$$ sh!t Cat, the water is so dark. You can't see anything."Madeline says. "Black River. The water looks black. We have no idea what is in here." she says, laughing. We all look at her, but she is so relaxed, floating with her hair sprawled all around her head. She looks like a damn goddess. Eventually, it begins to get cold and we all shiver, so we get out and walk back to the packhouse. We pass people who are still out. I guess since it is the weekend, people stay up later. We go in the packhouse and Madeline and Christoph pick up Mae. "Aurora can stay to sleep in this room. There's a door that connects to my room. We can open it and we will hear her if she wakes up." Cat tells me. "We?" I ask her and she nods. "Yes, stay with me..to sleep." she says and drags me to her room after saying goodnight to everyone. My friends just stare at me, Madeline has a huge smile on her face. I know Zeus wants to say something, luckily he doesn't. Cat tells me she is going to shower first, then I can shower. While she is in there, I go back to my room and grab some clothes and when I come back, she is out and is getting dressed in her closet. I walk to the restroom and take a quick shower. When I come out, she is brushing her hair and she looks better in her night clothes than she does in any other clothes, even those shorts she wore to training. "She's not wearing a bra". My wolf snickers. She gets in the bed and pats the spot next to her and I crawl in. I am in my gray sweat pants and a t-shirt. "Take your shirt off. I want to feel your body heat" she says and I raise my eyebrow. "You are very demanding," I say, and her face turns bright red. "Sorry" she tells me "No, it's okay. I like it." I tell her and she smiles and pushes me down on the bed. She throws an arm and leg over my body. I sigh, feeling contect. I actually really like this. She has me lying here, exactly how she wants me. It's like she has tied me to her body and she doesn't want to let me go. I actually love this feeling. I have never gotten this close to a woman before. Why are things just so easy with Cat? This doesn't feel weird. It feels perfect, actually.
