Joel's p.o.v

"Help me figure it all out dad, please. How do I make my mate talk to me? She needs to hear me out. Listen to my plan." I tell him. "Joel. I don't know what to tell you. This is not something I can give advice on. You know your mom and I are mates and found each other very young. I have never cheated on her or she on me. All I can think of is that if the mate bond is so strong, then things will work out. Give her some time. Right now, just keep Griffy away from Catalina. Maybe Griffy should return home, son. It isn't fair for Cat to have to see her every day in her own home. This is Cat's pack and she should not have to be uncomfortable because of your poor choices. Now to win her over, start by putting her first. Griffy hasn't had the pup. As long as she is taken care of and you make sure to set boundaries and let her know how things are going to be, and once your pup is born you take care of it, then there is not really anything Griffy can do. She can't force you to be with her. She isn't your mate. She needs to find her own mate and hope that he will be okay with her already having a pup with someone else.

I do not know Catalina much, besides the fact that she comes from a strong bloodline. We know she is a healer, but also that she is a great fighter. She is outspoken and doesn't take sh!t from anyone. Use all of this to your advantage. You know I am in charge of training sessions and she normally goes to morning training sessions, although she wasn't there today. Maybe start waking up early and showing up. The more time you spend with her, or around her, the less she will be able to resist you. The mate bond will grow. Also, women love gifts, flowers, candy, things like that and they also love it when you tell them they are beautiful and smell good. Just be nice. I have known Cat her whole life and she is a sweetheart. I think you can win her over. Just show her that she comes first and that you will be a responsible parent. Show her that the relationship with Griffy is strictly just parenting your pup together. You aren't f*cking her anymore are you?" he asks me. "No. It was just a one-time thing", I tell him and he frowns. "Now you see that one time is all it takes for your life to be...altered." He tells me. "Tell me about it." I say. After speaking to my dad, I decide to go look for Cat. I have no idea where Griffy is right now. She told me she was going to an ultrasound appointment earlier, but I thought she would be back by now, but since she isn't, I will use this to my advantage.

Cat's p.o.v

I wake up and check my phone. It is now 2pm. F*ck, I slept all morning. The afternoon training starts at 3pm, so I decide that since I missed the morning session, I will attend the afternoon one. I get ready in a 2 piece all black gym set. Biker shorts and a sports bra and some all black nikes. I throw on a black hoodie on top. I put my hair up in a ponytail. I grab my headphones, my phone and head downstairs. I walk out of my room and I pass my sister's room and I can hear moaning coming from there. "I can hear you getting f*cked" I mind-link her. "Shut up. Why didn't you tell me that this hurts so badly?" she mind links me back. "How would I know? I'm a virgin." I mind link her back. "Gotta go" she links back and I laugh to myself. I hear a growl and just keep walking. I do not want to stay and find out what that is about. I make my way downstairs and I hear arguing. I get a bad feeling and that feeling is normally right. I turn the corner and I run into Joel and his pregnant she-wolf arguing. They both stop as soon as they see me. They stare at me like if I owe them something. I keep walking and don't even acknowledge them though. Just like I have been ignoring his text messages, I will ignore them both. Joel is being so unreasonable and making this situation so uncomfortable for me and I am sure for them too. He should be thinking about her and their pup. Accepting my rejection is the best thing he could do for all of us, but he is selfish and he doesn't even deserve any of my attention. All of a sudden, a little cuties head pops in the doorway and when her eyes land on me, a huge smile graces her face and my mood is suddenly changed from bad to great. I smile back at her.

Valen's p.o.v

We all walk into the packhouse. Madeline is going to babysit Aurora while we train. Aurora runs inside in front of us. "Cat" I hear her squeal. My heart speeds up. She's behind this door. I breathe in and out and walk in the room. I watch my sister run into Cat's arms. She catches her and swings her around. She puts her down. "Princess Aurora," she says and bows like if my sister is royalty. Aurora copies her movements and giggles. "They let you out of the hospital already?" she asks and Aurora nods. "Yes. all thanks to you. You saved me. You are my hero." she tells her and Cat chuckles. "I just did what I had to do to save you. I couldn't let my princess keep bleeding now, could I?" she asks. Aurora turns around and looks at me. "Vally, hurry the surprise," she says and bounces over to me and grabs the bag from me. "Cat, we bought you thank you presents." Aurora basically yells out. "oh, you didn't have to do that." she says, staring at me. "Here" Aurora says, shoving the bag into Cat's hands. Zeus and Madaline are now laughing. "Thank you" Cat says. "Open it, hurry", Aurora tells her and grabs the bag back from her and begins pulling the things out. She pulls out the shirt first. "Wow, I love it." Cat says with a big smile on her face. She holds up the shirt and it is the ugliest shirt I have ever seen, but Aurora said it was perfect for Cat. "It is perfect", she says "Yay" Aurora yells. My little innocent sister is so excited and happy right now. I am glad that Cat is not making her feel bad about her gifts. "Now this one. It's a cupcake for when you get hungry," she says. "Thank you. I will eat it after my training, okay". Cat says "Oh man, I was hoping you ate it now so I could have a bite." Aurora tells her and I groan. Cat laughs, "As a matter of fact, I am a little hungry. I need energy for my training session. Lets eat it." she tells my sister, whose eyes light up. "Here," Cat hands it to her and Aurora bites it. "Yummy, it's so good." She says and hands it to Cat, who takes a small bite and hands it back. "It's delicious. My grandma owns the bakery and she makes the best desserts", Cat tells Aurora, whose eyes widen. "Can she bake me a birthday cake?" she asks, and I rub my face with my hand. This girl "Is it your birthday?" Cat asks her. "No, but I love birthday cake. It is my favorite meal of the day." She tells Cat, knowing damn well that she is not allowed to eat a whole birthday cake, ever. This little girl's mind is just too much. "I'm speechless," Cat says and laughs. "Okay, now open this one. It's a necklace and bracelet," Aurora tells her. "You are supposed to let her open it, not tell her what it is." Zeus says. "No, this is fine. I hate surprises, so thanks for telling me what everything is." Cat tells Aurora, who is now beaming with pride. I smile. Cat is just amazing and Aurora is smiling so big. I have not seen her this happy in such a long time. "Vally, put it on her," Aurora says, and of course I have to do what my little sister says, so I grab it and Cat turns around. I notice two people staring hard with so much hate on their faces. I just put the necklace on Cat. When I clasp the necklace on her neck, my fingers touch her skin and if the back of her neck is this soft, I can just imagine the rest of her body. f*ck, I need to get away from her. Aurora hands me the bracelet and Cat gives me her hand and I put it on her. She smiles at me. "Thank you. Both of you. You shouldn't have. You never have to buy me things, okay" she tells us both. "That's not it" Aurora says, completely ignoring Cat telling her not to buy her gifts. "Vally got you flowers." Aurora tells her and Cat looks at me. "Yeah I did" I turn around and grab the huge flower arrangement that Christoph is holding. "Wow, those are huge and beautiful." someone says from behind me. I turn around and the Luna, Alpha and some other man are standing behind us. "For you Cat." Aurora says, and I hand them to Cat. "Thank you Aurora and Alpha Valen" she says, and she is blushing. "They are so pretty" she says, smelling them. "Not as pretty as you" I say. More like Ghost, my wolf somehow got me to say these words out loud and now everyone is staring at us.

Cat's p.o.v

Aurora is so cute, and something is drawing me to her. She gives me these cute gifts and I feel all eyes on us. All of a sudden, she announces that Valen has flowers for me. My parents and Joel's father walk in right as he is handing me a huge flower arrangement. My mom compliments the flowers. "They are so pretty" I say and smell them. "Not as pretty as you", Valen says. I don't even know what to say. The room is so quiet. I look around quickly and everyone in the room is giving us horrified looks, but I do not care, I give all of my attention to Valen and I can't take my eyes off him. "Thank you Valen, no-one besides my dad or grandpa has ever given me flowers." I tell him. He smirks. "Well I'm glad I am your first" he tells me and I am sure I am blushing deep red right about now. "Alpha, we should really start training" I hear Joel's dad say and I suddenly remember that we are not alone. "I will take your beautiful flowers to your room." mom says and mind links me. "he's hot." I shake my head. "I'm telling dad" I mind link back and she laughs out loud. "Catalina, get to training I know you weren't there this morning." dad says. "Yes sir, Alpha sir" I say, bowing my head. "You get on my f*cking nerves." he says and laughs as we walk out to the field.
