I sighed with frustration. There was a sudden, loud ruckus going on outside the door: an argument and loud voices. Drakulya was across the room in a flash, so fast, I hadn"t seen him pass me but felt the breeze when he did. He swung open the door and roared, “What is this! What has happened?” There was a muffled reply from one of the guards at the door. “It"s alright,” Drakulya said, his voice filtering back into the room to us. “I have sent for him.” He stepped away from the door to reveal a heavyset man whose clothes were drenched, head bald as an egg; he wore a full graying beard. The man shambled in. It must have been raining outside as the dark cloak he wore was dripping wet. Why he"d been outside I hadn"t a clue.
