as she entered quietly and was passing by the drawing room, she stopped dead on her track when she noticed a bouquet..... A very familiar bouquet with even a more familiar note! enough to make her stomach twitch uneasily....... was she supposed to be happy ? was she supposed to be sad or angry.... these days her emotions are all over the places! "Happy Wedding Anniversary" From Ezekiel King "that's thoughtful of you Husband" She sarcastically muttered under her breath, looking down at the card Naina parrish, Mayur's mother came down stairs and smiled affectionately at her...... her smiling face was always enough to de-stress her. but right now nothing is helping. "oh! look at my baccha! all married and It's been 3 years! Happy anniversary sweetheart!" She hugged me tightly, rocking her in her embrace. tears filled her eyes threatening to fall but she took a deep breath in mother's warm hug to stop that. MARRIED! yes! she was married! But what is there to be so happy about it, this was not a happy marriage, let alone a Marriage at all! "Ma....i" She sniffed and took a deep breath to calm herself and sighed "সোনা মেয়ে আমার, সব ঠিক হয়ে যাবে" [ Just give it a little time sweety, you know everything will be fine ] "তোর জন্য খাবার টেবিলে বেড়ে রেখেছি, খেয়ে নে........আমি বসবো তোর সাথে ?" [ There's food on the table for you to eat....do you want me sit with you ? ] "no.....I'll be fine, just go wherever you planned to go, don't worry" She replied giving her a half hearted smile. Naina parrish just sighed and left her there..... "Time! ? I gave 3 years! how much more i am supposed to!?" She wanted to scream. She went upstairs to her room all the while thinking how 3 YEARS passed since she got married! to Ezekiel King, a billionaire businessman, after he completely took over his father's company just about 4 years ago..... She still remember the day she got married like it was just been yesterday! though sometimes she just wished she could forgot that day, I mean how could someone not remember the most important day of her life when she was dressed up in a beautiful attire, walking down the aisle to be with the man of her dream though in her case nor she was wearing a white long dress,......she was wearing a saree, her mother's, one she never wore before! And there was no simple pearl necklace or stud diamond earrings.....but it was a beautiful slim pure gold choker with large jhumkas! she wasn't wearing any white veil with her hair down.....no, her sister suggested she should style her lush black hair in a loose bun, they were in New York at his newly bought mansion that time,.... And neither she walked down the aisle, instead she was in one of the room upstairs and just went downstairs with her cousin sister by her side and signed a paper that stated from then on they are now husband and wife. And that time she still wasn't even sure whether or not she really wanted to get married or imagine him being the man of her dream or let alone to be with any man at all SO, scratch any of your imagination of fairy tale romance........ people say the phrase "Love at first sight" her's was more like "marriage at first sight" talk about awkwardness! Arranged Marriages are not uncommon in India....but here ? God knows what possessed her parents and his father, who does this kind of thing to their only child! She was married at 20 with the person she never met, never even saw his face before Hell!!!! when her baba told her about this whole marriage proposal she didn't even know his full name....All she knew his father was her father's best friend, he is his son, Zeke Their parents grew up together, study at same college, took same Degree in business major but went different ways and now they are in partnership in one of their business venture,...... friend and business partner Richard King and his son Ezekiel King Her cousin Ferdousi also had an actually you may call it LOVE-ARRANGE....they met in college and had secret crush on each other and all.....he proposed and she said as long as family agrees she'd accept. And they accepted! now they are happily married! luckily she actually found love of her life in her husband...... people who knew them often joked about it, called it "fairytale in reverse" the IT couple. If only she could say the same about herself! Her marriage was far from ordinary or real even......she didn't have big fat indian wedding, it was very simple, with just family, Not that she minded it much! They saw each other and exchanged formal hi/hello right before the wedding took place,... not because he was busy or anything.......she doesn't know the reason actually, but what kind of person does not even want to meet at least Once to his would be wife before marriage....... It's not 15th century......they lived in America in 21st century, for God's sake. how come ? There must be a reason and she knew "BUSY" isn't one of them. and just in if anybody's wandering how her husband looks like ? Well, he was one of those men girls would swoon over. Her hubby dearest was a smoking hot. As some would say, the Eye candy he has this drool worthy look.....he may not be her dream but boy, was he a dream! Even in usual white shirt and dress pant he looked sooooo....ehem! well u know! He has this intimidating aura around him with those sapphire blue eyes, symmetrical face, little stubbles, naturally fair skin, high cheekbone and sharp jawline you can cut yourself with, tousled hair and a gorgeous built! human version of Prince Eric according to her. Soo...long story short, 3 years ago on this very day within a few hours her life changed again even if it was for few hours for so slightly, from Mayuree Aka Mayur Parrish she became Mrs.Mayur King. And every year him reminding her of that was like rubbing salt on a fresh wound ---------------------------------------------
