Sean POV
"Is it true that our CEO is getting married?" "I heard that his future wife is not attractive at all," "I'm not sure our CEO will get married, didn't he just play around with women all this time?" "I heard his future wife was just an ordinary person, indigent." These are the sentences that I heard spread like the wind in almost every corner of my mall. Sure enough, the gossip I was afraid it's happened, They spoke as they pleased regardless of whether the news was real or not.
I didn't overthink the gossip circulating, because indeed, I was used to hearing slanted gossip about myself. It's normal for someone quite famous for success, surrounded by unclear scandal.
Eventually, time will pass as the news will disappear slowly. Relieving some stress in my head, I decided to seek amusement back to the nightclub. For the time only me, Bryn and Janet. I sat in the usual place, choosing to enjoy the music rather than dancing quietly.
"Dude, Look you're an adult, soon you will get married. Why did this happen suddenly? "Bryn tapped me on the shoulder as if giving me peace in his way. I gulp down a small glass of beer poured by the bartender.
"Are you sure this marriage is certain?" Now Jenet asks things that I can't be sure too.
"I can only obey what my Granny wants. Well, you guys know that She's the only family I have," I answered while playing beer in my refilled glass.
"Never mind, what are you afraid? If you don't like it you can divorce her later" Bryn gave me a choice, I know he was just trying to give me advice. But it seems my heart rejects that advice outright. No, if indeed the marriage took place, I don't want to have the title of widower later.
"Shut f*****g up, Bryn. You think that divorce will end beautifully. Honestly, I want to have a whole family until old age. Taking care of the household is not easy. I don't know in your case, Sean. Do you know that girl well? "Janet looked at me with a stern look. It feels like the direction of the Chit-chat will get heavier I guess
"I told you that woman is the girl who owns the flower shop. Why must there be an arranged marriage? "Bryn first answered Janet's question.
"Then, why? What's wrong? Dude listen to me, you never know if you don't try something. I mean, not necessarily that girl as complex as you think. Your Granny can't be wrong with her choice. You just don't know her, that's all." Janet began with a spout of her wise words, making me think, is it true I just haven't known Michelle for longer? I took another sip of my beer.
"Then he will live with someone he doesn't love? You know very well that deep introductions are important before the wedding." Bryn seems to protest at Janet's suggestion.
"Bryn, why are you complicating things? Never mind. Just try new things. Do you know Sean? The future is a mystery, and no one knows good or bad. But if luck is on your side by accepting this fate with sincerity, you will be the happiest person later, "Jenet patted me on the shoulder. It felt like he was speaking this sensibly because he was used to meeting wise ladies who were always shopping in his business. Maybe Janet learned many things from her experience.
"Dude, you drink too much, you're not like yourself anymore. We better take you to your home. Bryn picked him up "Janet gave the code for Bryn to carry me.
"No, no ... no ... no. I want to stay a little longer here. I want to drink more beer. Let me do that." It feels like the words coming out of my mouth have felt heavy for me to say
"No, you can't be like this. Remember, this is not your habit of getting very drunk; your work tomorrow can be interrupted. Bryn just carries him, like it or not force it" Janet rose from her seat while I resignedly obeyed Bryn, who carried me walking out of the club.
No matter how heavy the steps I feel now, the heat that is whacking my body due to alcohol, and hovering it feels my mind, still unable to make my escape from the shadow of the girl.
Time after time passed, and more and more days of marriage that felt like this dream would come. The flow of this story just happened without me ever imagining. In the end, I will only accept the reality if that destiny has already spoken. All I can do is allow.
***********
Something like whispering to my ear, "You like me, don't you?" She said faintly. I like searching for sound sources, but I did not meet anyone. "Believe my body is very passionate, Arghhh, you can squeeze anything you want." Now the voice sounded sensual with a sigh. I like knowing the owner of this voice. Isn't this the voice of Michelle ?. "Sean, do it now, complete the lust. Sean rained me harder, Arghhhh sticking deeper into your p***s ". I was frustrated feeling tormented with a voice that increasingly heard sighing, but the owner of the sound is not visible. A black shadow suddenly missed me and.
"You're awake?" My Granny looked at me from the couch with her hand holding a glass of tea. I wiped my eyes roughly and looked around, clearly, this was my room. I realized what I just experienced was just a dream. Suddenly I got up to replace my sitting position, lifted my blanket, and peeked through the gap in my pants. Damn, I just had a wet dream.
"Are you respraying your sperm?" My Granny teased me while still sipping her tea
"Nana? What are you doing in my room? You can drink tea in front of the TV as usual. I told you I am not a child anymore "I protested and covered my body tightly again with the blanket.
"Your friends take you home drunk. Not, as usual, I believe you're very frustrated. I am just waiting for you to wake up to talk about this. "My Granny put down her tea glass, placed both hands on her thighs, looked at me seriously.
I took my cellphone. My secretary sent a message that some work files had been taken care of, and other data needed my signature.
"I'll ask Michelle to cancel this marriage," My Granny spoke again, making me throw my cellphone and look at My Granny with a surprised look. What I just heard?
"This is what you want, right ?. I can't see you frustrated like this. You know, I think because I have known Michelle for a long time, so she will be the best woman for you. At first I thought let's just say you and Michelle escaped on a blind date. After marriage you will get to know each other deeper, love will come with time. At least you will never separate because there is a marriage bond. But if you are really against this marriage then fine. Let's just stop it "My Granny smiled very warmly at me.
"No, I mean I'm fine, Nana. I agreed to this marriage. I just, well, was a little hesitant at first. Now knowing each other is difficult. Even though they have been dating for a very long relationship, still some people out there don't dare to decide to get married. But now? I understand it's time you saw me get married. Nana I'm okay with this wedding ". I'm not sure about pronouncing the sentence that just came out of my mouth. Is this decision that closes? Instantly I remembered the face of the Asian + American mixed girl. Already there was no longer what I wanted to find in this life. I have wealth. I have friends. I have a job, and I still have a grandmother as a family. And may I now have love ??
