8 Wrong Person

"I do."   Rena shifted in her seat. The conversation wasn't going well, and she wanted very badly to fix it. As she thought hard about what else to talk about, someone else appeared next to their table.   It was a tall and slender woman, with long blonde hair that fell in delicate curls around her shoulders. She wore a sleek black Chanel dress and a diamond-studded necklace and matching bracelets. To summarize, the woman was the picture of luxury, all the way down to her brown Luis Vuitton purse.   Although Rena wasn't an expert, she figured that the woman's outfit cost thousands of dollars.   The woman narrowed in on Mr. Caswell and gave him a charming smile.   "Leo, I am so sorry that I am late," she said. Rena frowned slightly as she stared at the beautiful woman, and felt confused. When she looked across from her at Mr. Caswell, she noticed that he looked like how she felt, but only for a brief moment. He put the cold mask back in place as he regarded the woman.   "Leo, it's me, Lucy," the woman added. "I haven't seen you for years. Don't you remember me? I just came back from England yesterday, and my parents arranged this blind date for me."   Mr. Caswell's stiff posture relaxed a little. "I remember," was all that he said.   Lucy turned her attention to Rena. "Who is she?" she asked with a point.   He didn't reply, and neither did Rena. She wasn't sure if Lucy should know that Mr. Caswell and herself were f*******: friends and had never met in person until now.   Earlier that day, Rena got a message from "Prince of Fortune," saying that he was bored and wanted to meet up for a cup of coffee. Since she had nothing planned for today, she agreed to meet at a fancy cafe for a friendly chat. He also informed her that "Caswell" was his last name.   But, Rena was starting to entertain the possibility that Mr. Caswell was pulling a prank on her. Maybe he asked her here just to see that he had chosen Lucy instead as a sort of cruel joke. It was just her luck to find a guy who would do something so immature.   Or, Lucy could be the one with ill intentions. Maybe she was the one who stalked Mr. Caswell and waited for the best opportunity to stake her claim on him in the most public way possible.   Even though she had her suspicions, Rena knew she couldn't throw out any accusations just yet. She sat up a little straighter in her chair before she faced Lucy head-on. "Mr. Caswell asked me out for a cup of coffee," she explained slowly.   For extra measure, Rena casually touched the bouquet of roses with a small smile.   Lucy's smile faded instantly, and she glared at Rena. Faced with an opponent that wasn't going to immediately bow down to her presence, she felt uncomfortable and put on the spot. "I'm sorry, Leo," she said with a red face, "you should let your parents know that you have a girlfriend."   With that, Lucy left the balcony quickly and didn't return.   "Are you happy now?" both Mr. Caswell and Rena asked each other at the same time.   "What do you mean?" Rena inquired first.   "You ruined my blind date," Mr. Caswell explained, his voice deep.   She blinked. "I beg your pardon? You are the one who asked me out in the first place. We don't even know each other, and yet-"   "I didn't ask you out," he cut in.   "You can't be serious," Rena said in disbelief as she took her phone out once more. She brought up their conversation on f*******: Messenger and presented it to him for inspection. "See what we talked about? Or are you going to tell me that someone stole your phone and talked to me?"   Mr. Caswell surmised the messages. "That is not me. I am Mr. Caswell, yes, but I do not go by the username 'Prince of Fortune.'"
