Rena hung up the phone and looked at it briefly. With a shake of her head, she turned her attention to her computer and began to work. As she tried to proofread a draft for an article, she found herself unable to focus. Her mind kept drifting, and it made it impossible to concentrate.
When it was close to noon, Tara and Gina returned to the office. To announce her arrival, Gina deliberately made her footsteps more pronounced.
For Shawn Whitmore’s fans, Gina’s arrival was more than welcome. Once they caught a glimpse of her, they all flocked to her side and started to ask her questions.
“Gina, did you take a photo with Shawn?”
“Gina, did you get his autograph?”
“Gina, how close did you get to him?”
As her coworkers surrounded her, Gina put on a show of being shy.
