CHAPTER FOURIt was not until Ann and Lydia started on their journey that Lydia realised how much was to be required of her in this new job. The final hustle of getting off from the hotel to the train, the seeing to their luggage, the tipping of porters and the arranging of carriages, were all left in Lydia’s safe hands.
