Jude followed Agnes behind. It took twenty minutes of trailing her before she eventually got to her destination.
'What the hell am I even doing here?' He asked himself when he realized the neighborhood he was in. It was far from the sort of place he would normally find himself in. Very far from it.
He watched Agnes step out of her car and approach the entrance of the house she pulled up in front of. A much older lady, which had to be no other than Agnes' mom opened the door to let her in. Agnes disappeared into the house for a while, but Jude could still see her via the open windows of the apartment. The old lady handed Agnes a nap sack of what Jude had no idea what the content was, not like it was any of his business anyway, he was more concerned about his son. Agnes further stooped to fetch the infant boy from the cradle, Jude saw his son again, his eyes lit up in excitement. At this point, he adjusted on his seat while he watched closely, It appeared that Agnes was leaving that particular house immediately. Evidently, she had dropped her son off with her mother to take a break at the club, and it was now obvious to Jude that he had ruined her evening. She most likely would have still been there taking a time out for herself at the club if Jude didn't come around to bother her. Agnes struggled a bit with the baby boy. He looked bigger and stronger than the fragile little one his mom had brought to his office months ago. The trailing continued. He followed Agnes for another thirty minutes plus before she got to what struck Jude as her own house. It was a cozy apartment at the far end of town. There were no neighbors in sight at all, Jude noticed.
'One of the twisted ones' he muttered, judging Agnes for living that far away from everyone else.
He turned off his head light and waited for Agnes to climb out of the car and into her house. Comfortable to be settled in her own space, and having put her son away, Agnes started to undress. Jude could see her silhouette behind the transparent white curtain. She had turned off the light just becasuse it was something she was used to, not like she was expecting to have someone out there watching her, but Jude still had a generous view of her. He gasped into the air when Agnes took off her bra, to allow her t**s drop free.
'Get a hold of yourself Jude' he scolded himself when he figured that he had started to get turned on. Right away, Jude started to recall the one and only time he had banged her during his party. He remembered those t**s very well. Jude fought the urge to walk up to her door and ask to be let in. He knew that Agnes won't be able to resist him if he showed up at her door step, both of them alone and tensed at each other. There was no one around for her to want to put up a front for, so he could access her as much as he wanted to, but on second thought, he felt it was inappropriate to embark on such a goal, his son came first, he wanted to see his son.
The path Jude had to walk across to get to Agnes' front door looked difficult, giving the fact that he had parked far away from the house for fear of being spotted. He walked through the dark alley that led to her front door, and soon enough he was stood in front of the portable house, contemplating whether he should knock or just head back to his vehicle and go back home. The night was already far spent after all.
'Who's that?' Agnes asked in fear when Jude rapped at her door the first time. He didn't give any response to her question, he thought she would not let him in if he told her he was the one, so he opted to keep quiet and wait. Agnes turned off the front security light and grabbed a mop stick, ready to fight off whoever it was that was most likely there to harm her.
'It's me, Jude, what the f**k?' He asked Agnes in panic. Agnes had opened the door and charged at the unknown and unwelcome guest without giving a care in the world about who it was.
'Why didn't you say something when I asked?' Agnes said, glaring at Jude with angry, unwelcoming eyes.
'Matter of fact, you deserve to be hit on the head with this, are you stalking me? you bloody creep' Agnes asked, raising the mop over her head to hit Jude for real this time around. He stepped back in fright.
'Are you out of your mind?' he asked from a safe distance, staring at Agnes in disbelief concerning how wild she was capable of becoming.
'You stalked me all the way to my house, and you dare ask me if I'm out of my mind because I'm trying to defend myself?' Agnes asked with a very upset tone.
'I'm calling the cops' she said, turning her back on Jude and heading in towards her mobile phone, and that was all it took for Jude to slide in and shut the door behind him.
'You are not going to make that call' he told her, reaching for the phone in her hand in a bid to take it from her.
'You have the guts to come here?' Agnes yelped, starting to punch on Jude's chest in protest, but of course, he overpowered her and held her close to his chest.
'I'm sorry Agnes' he whispered while she sobbed into his shirt. The memory came flooding her thoughts, how he had abandoned her to take care of her pregnancy alone. Just herself and her mother.
