I should have woken, startled by his touch, but I wasn’t. As his arm came around me, it felt like a serene peace had settled over the whole room. For the first time since the party, I felt more myself. I basked in it for a moment before trying to turn towards him, but he held me firmly in place. I knew he would know that I thought I knew who he was. What I couldn’t decide was whether his actions meant I was right or not. I had so much I wanted to say, questions I needed to ask, but I had no idea where to start.
