“What?” Adeline felt like her ears didn’t quite hear the other’s words.
“You look like you don’t know why you’re alive.” Garret repeated his words. Looking at the woman’s eyes that seemed to shake, he felt like he wasn’t mistaken.
“The f**k are you talking about…” She was left in disbelief. Adeline didn’t think of herself as such but the other’s words hit her for some reason.
