Sierra's POV
"Wake up," I hear someone whisper, but my eyes just won't open. I groan and shift before snuggling closer to whatever I am currently leaning on. Suddenly, I'm falling and my eyes open quickly, taking in my surroundings.
I hit the ground hard and groan, pushing myself up into a sitting position. "What the hell?" I question, looking up at Austin. He stands by the open truck door, glaring at me. His arms are now crossed, a scowl on his face. If looks could kill.
"I said wake up, but you didn't listen. Now grab your s**t and get inside. I'll be back later," he voices and I clamp my mouth shut. The rage in his eyes reminds me of earlier and it honestly scares the hell out of me.
"If me coming here is a problem, I'll wait for Mallory. I can stay elsewhere," I whisper, my voice cracking at the end. He throws my bag at me and slams his truck door, marching towards me angrily.
"What the f**k did you say?" He asks loudly, picking me up by my arms. I struggle against him but that causes him to squeeze harder until I finally stop fighting him. "Nothing, I'm sorry. I'm just tired," I whisper with a small whimper.
"That's what I thought. Now get in the house," he warns, letting me go roughly. I stumble but quickly catch myself. I pick up my bag, avoiding all eye contact with him. Without another word, I walk towards his front door and enter, closing it softly behind me.
A second later, I hear his truck peel out of the driveway and I allow myself to breath. After making my way into the living room, I notice I'm not alone. There are at least three other guys in the house, looking at me with cautious yet curious eyes.
"Who are you?" The bald guy sitting on the arm of the sofa asks, standing abruptly. His tall frame towers over me and I gulp in fear. "Speak!" He yells and I flinch, stepping back quickly. "I'm Sierra," I whisper and his demeanor suddenly changes.
"f**k, I'm sorry. Uh, where's Austin?" He asks, scratching the back of his head. "He left. Told me to come inside. Wouldn't give me any other details on what he was up too," I mumble softly. "Unless," I say quickly, scared that he may be doing something stupid. Why do you even care? My inner voice taunts.
"Unless what?" Someone else asks, the third guy soon standing as well. "He went back to my house to pay my mom and her boyfriend a visit," I tell them and they all curse under their breaths. "Address?" The bald guy asks and I quickly type it into his phone.
"Go upstairs to the last room on the left. Lock the door and don't open it for any reason. Austin will be pissed when we get back and from that busted lip, I'm assuming you know what his anger is like," he says and I nod, my cheeks heating with embarrassment.
"Okay," I whisper and make my way upstairs, scared out of my mind. I text Mallory with shaky hands after changing into some clean pajamas. While yawning, I look at the time and sigh. It's only 4:30 in the afternoon and I'm exhausted as hell.
Ping!
I grab my phone quickly and put it on silent, scared to even make a sound. The empty house both soothes and terrifies my soul.
Mallory - Hey babe! What's up? I'll actually be home tomorrow instead of Thursday. ☺️ Want me to come pick you up?
Me - Uh, my mother just kicked me out and Austin came get me. He did something Mallory and I think I'm screwed, like even more so than being at my moms.
Mallory - What happened? What did he do? Are you okay? I can leave right now and come get you. f**k that dude and your sorry excuse of a mom.
Me - I'm okay for now. He hit me Mal then apologized. But then, he tried waking me up and I didn't wake up so he purposely opened the truck door so I would fall out.
Mallory - What the f**k?! What an asshole. I'm going to cut his d**k off and shove it down his throat. I'm coming get you tomorrow!
Me - That would be a sight to see but that's not all. I said something and he picked me up by my arms while squeezing hard. I think he has an abusive side and I don't know what to do.
Me - s**t, he's home. Got to go. Love you
I delete our texts and turn my phone off, shoving it back in my bag. The sound of yelling nears the room and I shake in fear of the unknown.
Someone starts banging on the door and I back away, tears threatening to spill from my eyes. "Open the door b***h!" Austin yells and I fall to the ground, hugging my knees for comfort.
