Book 3 Chapter 27

1914 Words

Sage POV Lunch was nice with Kat and her family, and I did not want to leave, like having another female around, someone I can relate to. Derrick Andrei’s father said he would be over tomorrow sometime to help Andrei with whatever Andrei asked of him, and eventually, we left. Walking back to the car, I climb in the passenger seat, and Andrei gets in the driver's seat and starts up the car. “Seat belt,” Andrei growls, making me realize I hadn’t put it on. I roll my eyes but clip it in place, and he reverses before turning the car around and driving down the long driveway. When we reach the end, instead of turning toward the highway, he turns heading into town, and I look at him questionably, wondering where we are going now; as much as I didn’t want to leave Kat’s, I kind of missed home.
