Abigor threw down the papers he had in his hand, tired. He rubbed his eyes. He's been up all night long, between the minions scrubbing the castle down, to the sheer amount of paperwork his father had, he was overwhelmed. He didn't realize his father had his hand in so many different moneymaking endeavors.
There were at least two hotels, one restaurant, and a casino. All in different areas of the world, but he was working on one particularly close to home, and that surprised him. Abigor didn't even bother to hide his yawn as the little minion came into the study. He had to admit, that having the place clean was making him feel less agitated. If that annoying god showed back up, he would have to remember to thank him.
"Master should have coffee," Wash said pouring Abigor a cup of the black liquid, adding just a small amount of cream to it. "Here, just the way master likes it," she said pushing the cup towards Abigor.
He accepted it gratefully and took a sip, "Thank you, Wash. You may go," he said. He still had massive amounts of paperwork to sort through and the interviews in just one day.
"Yes, Master," she said meekly. As she was leaving the room, she paused at the door, "Master?" she asked.
"Yes?" he said, doing his best to keep his exasperation in check.
"Are you looking for your answers?" She asked.
Puzzled, Abigor looked at the little creature waiting at the door, "Answers to what?"
"To life. Wash and Tree are still working on that as well for master," She said, not wanting to disappoint the master, by not completing the tasks he had given her.
Abigor let a small smile crack his face, he didn't realize that the minions would literally search for the answers to life. "Thank you," was all he said, then turned himself back to the task at hand. He leaned back in his chair and ran his hands through his blonde hair taking in all the work yet to do. He let out a big sigh, stretched, and reached for the next folder full of paperwork.

Alyona stretched in her bed, she rubbed her eyes, surprised. She woke up feeling rested, something she hasn't felt since it happened. She inhaled deeply and that was when she remembered why she slept so well. She could still smell the lingering traces of the oil Circe had given her. The light vanilla and peach fragrance still managing to keep her calm. She smiled in appreciation.
"Ally," there was a small knock on her door, "Ally, dear are you okay?"
Ally looked at the clock, shocked, holy crap, she's late! "Yes, momma, I can't believe I slept in!" she cried scrambling to get out of bed. She had wanted to get onto the training fields this morning with her brother and sister and now she wouldn't be able to!
Tatyana came into Alyona's room then, seeing her daughter rushing around her room like she was being chased. "Ally slow down. What are you rushing about for?" she asked.
"Momma, I slept in!" she cried.
"Yes, yes you did," Tatyana said. "But, you needed it, dear. Now calm down and get ready for some lunch," she said pushing her towards the small table and chair in her room.
Ally stopped and sat down, there was no use scrambling to get to the training fields this morning, it was lunchtime now. She would have to try to see if Bella and Bardik would train with her later. She still felt better after she beat on the dummies.
As she sat down with her mother an omega came in with the tray. The petite girl looking at Alyona worried. Alyona gave her a smile, "Thank you so much," she said, as her belly rumbled in appreciation of the delicious smells coming from the tray. The omega looked at Ally and whispered, "You are so strong."
Tatyana looked at the omega confused, then at her daughter. She took her daughter's look in and did notice that she was toning her muscles. She gave her a thorough look over and decided she needed to get to the bottom of this, once and for all.
She placed her napkin delicately on her lap and waited for Ally to do the same. Once she did, she started with, "So, dear, have you been looking for your mate?"
Alyona nearly choked on her soup, "Momma, why would you ask me that?" she asked, looking down at the bowl.
"Because of all three of my daughters, you had wanted your mate more than anything. I wanted to know if you have either found him or are you going to look for him?" she asked plainly. Bardik and Chusi were married now and she could focus on her daughters since they have taken over leading roles in the pack.
"No, momma, I haven't found him yet," she said, looking down, not wanting to let her mother down by telling her that she no longer wanted a mate. She didn't deserve him. She was no longer pure.
"Well, if that's the case, then I have a suggestion for you," she said. Her mind had been bursting with ideas since the party for not only Alyona but Isabella and Irina as well. She wanted her daughters to have the strong, capable mate they deserved. And nothing less than an Alpha would do.
Ally's heart sank a little the tone in her mother's voice, it was never good when it sounding like this. She knew her mother had her mind made up on something. As of late, it seemed to be matchmaking.
"What about the future alpha of the Newmoon Pack? He seemed quite taken by you at the party," she said, stirring her bowl of vegetable soup before taking a sip.
Alyona did her best to hide her disgust at the thought, "We shall see momma," she hedged. She didn't want a mate, period, but if her mother wanted her to chose one she didn't want one that gave her such heebie-jeebies. Besides, the Newmoon Pack wasn't known for being reliable. No, thank you, she thought. Most of their deals were bad ideas that end up even worse.
Thankfully, their conversation was interrupted by a knock on her door again. This time, it was her brother. He peeked his head in the door, "Hey, Al, Chusi was looking for you," he said using his hand to point out the door, "So, when you're finished with momma, "he said giving her a look that said, he knew exactly what was going on.
She gave him a small smile through her cup of tea and linked him thanks. Topor responded, 'Hey, we may not know what's bothering you, but we're here for you and Svet.' Both he and Bardik were very worried for her, she was certainly not herself.
Alyona quickly finished her lunch with her mother, who after she was struck down about the Newmoon Pack tried suggesting another alpha. Ally dressed and looked for Chusi, she had no idea what she wanted but anything was better than listening to her mother's suggestions for a mate.
She found Chusi in the library, scouring through books on legends.
"Whatcha lookin' for Chus'" she asked coming up behind her sister-in-law and startling her.
"For heaven's sake, Ally! You scared the s**t out of me!" she said laughing.
"UH, Careful, momma won't like hearing you swear," she said, trying to impersonate her mother, "It's unbecoming a luna," she mocked, her finger in the air in an admonishing way.
They both dropped into a fit of giggles, "Seriously, what did you need?" Ally asked as she looked at the books on the table in front of Chusi.
"Bardik and I still need to destroy that sword and we've tried everything we know," Chusi said. You could hear the disappointment in her voice.
"Maybe, we aren't the chosen," she said.
"Well, that's not the case," Ally said sure that they were indeed the chosen. How else could they have read the stories. They were missing something, they just weren't sure what.
"Then why can't we destroy it?"
"Maybe there's a piece missing?" Ally suggested.
"Then maybe you can help me figure this out?" Chusi asked. Her hand sweeping over the vast amounts of books stacked around her. She looked like she was trying to make a castle out of them.
This is where Ally hedged, she didn't want to make a promise she couldn't keep. She was going to that interview and with any luck land that job. Getting away from here would be the best way to keep her family and especially her sisters safe.
"Uh, sure. What have learned from the elder council? " she said. She knew that even with only a few of them left, there would still be answers there. She made a mental note to try to contact them. Even if she got the job, she thought, she could still be helping them find a way to destroy that sword. That was one thing that needed to be done. As she thought of ways to help, but keep her secret. She knew that Hyptu kept a soft spot for Chusi, maybe he would know.
"I am going into town tomorrow," she started.
Chusi gave her a startled look but was happy that she was venturing out again.
"I'll stop by Dreamers and talk to Circe, maybe she has something left from Aislinn's time there?"
Chusi agreed, "Do you want me to go with you?"
"Oh, no, thank you," she said a little too quickly, "I won't be too long."
Chusi eyed Ally, but said nothing. She knew that she needed to do this, she was just shocked that she wanted to do it alone.
"I'm meeting someone," Ally said. Maybe saying that would ease Chusi's mind, and besides, it wasn't quite a lie. She was meeting someone, she just wasn't sure exactly who.
