toJake stepped back with his hands on Ella's shoulders. Ella felt instant tingles where he was touching her. He breathed in quickly. His eyes turned black and then he let out a low growl. Ella tried to take a step back, but Jake held on to her.
"Jake. I am sorry. I didn't see you." Ella tried to back away.
"Wait." He released one arm, but hung on to the other. His eyes back to his normal color now.
"I wanted to talk to you this evening at the bonfire tonight. Can we talk now instead?" Jake asked.
Ella leaned back against the fence. Pulling out of his grip, she already missed the feeling. She took a deep breath steeling herself against what she knew was coming. Wrapping her arms around her middle, she ducked her head.
"Do you want to do it or shall I?" she said
