CHAPTER ONE I wake to my alarm at 4 in the morning. I groan as I shut the alarm off and get out of bed. As I get ready I put my knife in my hip holster and put an over sized shirt and walk out of my room and start to walk down the stairs and stop as I heard slight foot steps. I put my hand where my knife is ready for an attack as I feel a pair of arms rap around my waist. I jump slightly until I hear his voice and his hand moves to my hand that is over my knife. I have become prepared for anything in this moment. I nearly jump from my skin when I feel a pair of arms wrap around me. I start pulling my knife out ready to fight until I hear a males voice. "Well at least you are always ready to attack. " he mumbles in a hushed tone. I move my hands down to his removing them from my waist. The male turned my body around to face him in a hug. "Yeah because if I didn't then who would." I whisper moving away from him. After I move away I decend the flight of stairs with the man following me. "Also why are you up this early?" I question "Oh I wanted to see you before you go off to training." the man says with a smile stepping off the last step. I roll my eyes at his comment and grab my bag. "what's even in this thing?" the guy question trying to grab my bag. "stuff." I reply taking the bag and walking out the door. "whaaattt kind ...of stuff?" he questions following behind me. "stuff now are you always this nosy?" I ask walking to my car scanning my badge at the gate the gate opening. "go back inside." "what if I dont" the man challenged I sigh "if you don't we will both get in trouble and you know your parents." I smile at the last part "you know I hate how annoying you are but just to me." I mumble getting to my red jeep. "Because you are my step sister that's my job." the man says "plus Alexis it's not like we don't know it." the man says jumping into the back of the jeep. "Ethan ... get... out" I grip the steering the wheel "get out" "Oh come on let me tag along please just this one time." Ethan pleads "No get out" "Come on" Ethan whines "let me come along no one has to know not your mom not my dad." I roll my eyes "get out ... now" I grip the wheel starting the car. "Why don't you want me with you?" Ethan questions as he turns to face Alexis. "Because you just cant" my voice strained "Just this one time" Ethan whispers near Alexis ear. "please" I roll my eyes "fine" I scoffed starting the car. "yay let's go" Ethan exclaims. I drive us about thirty minutes away to an old looking building with dead grass around the area and two stories. I park in an abandoned parking lot getting out. "You work out here?" Ethan says in denial "are you sure " he asks. "Yes I am sure you wanted to come along." I walk up to a rusty looking door knocking on it in a rhythmic knock. finally someone opens the door and I walk through. As Ethan trys to follow he is stoped by a guard. "Only trainees." the man's deep voice and tall figure towering over ethan who is only 6'1. "he is with me mark." alexsis says without looking behind her. the man nods and let's Ethan through. "that's your body guard." Ethan asks looking back at the man. "No he is just rhe door gaurd." I smile as we walk into a different room with boys training in different fighting styles. "wow" Ethan says completely wowed. "What didn't expect this much training." Alexis says "No i...I didnt" Ethan looks around at everything. Alexis rolls her eyes before a hand comes flying at her. Alexis dodges the punch and throws the person to the ground. "You didn't think it would be that easy did you" Alexis scoffs The girl sits up "well I.. okay yeah I kind of did." the girl groans. Alexis smiles and extends her hand the girl hits alexsis hand and gets up "I don't need your help" the girl scowls. "Right so next time you won't be as predictable as all the other times." alexsis sarcastically says crossing her arms. The girl glares at her moving a peice of red hair out of her face showing how bright her green eyes were. "sorry not all of us can be miss perfect alexsis." the female says. "what you think this is easy?" alexsis asks. the girl nods "yeah I mean look at you. You ate strong independent, you have gorgeous black hair in the sun it turns chestnut brown and you have dark brown eyes and tan skin so yes I am a little jealous." The girl is almost shouting at the end. "Jane you have your own unique style now let's get to training also ignore him." alexsis says looking over at Ethan. "He isn't meant to be here." she whispers. Both the girls laugh and walk down to a huge field filled with different obstacles and a huge track around the entire thing.
