-Thirst-
It's raining, which means that Victor had been out too late. Not exactly uncommon for him, but it's harder to find food. Victor was so thirsty that he didn't mind getting soaking wet, though, so when he arrived at the stop and shop he went straight to the frozen section. He figured it be easier to find his prey inside then out on the street at the moment
. His hair hung wet around his face and his clothes were drenched. If he was still alive he thought he would have been freezing right now. He took a deep breath, his nose was filled with a sweet scent of vanilla and cinnamon, making him feel more calm. The store was almost empty; he could easily take someone without anyone noticing.
As he got closer to the entrance he saw a woman behind the counter. She wore a bright yellow dress. Her dark skin was drenched with rain, he watched him come inside and shake out an umbrella that obviously did not work. she thought he thought thirst burning through his body making his fangs ache.
Victor walked around keeping an eye on the woman while pretending to shop. He was shoving random items in his hand basket that he picked up from the entrance. When the woman started to head towards the front counter to check out he did the same standing directly behind her taking in her scent he blood smelled so sweet. the victor's mouth began to water.
He didn't think he'd be able to resist.
"I need to buy this." said the woman putting a bottle of water and a few other things on the counter.
"Sure thing." said the cashier, turning on the machine and taking out a plastic bag. Victor waited patiently as he placed the groceries in her bag and gave her change.
Finally she walked out the front doors and the victor turned towards the man behind the counter "Hi and how are you this evening sir? how can I help you?" asked the cashier cheerfully. turning to face him he looked directly into his eyes " I was never here you never saw me or the woman before me, understand?" I told him using my mind to bend his will. He nodded his head in a kind of trance-like state, then I dropped my basket full of items right at the front of the counter to pursue my prey.
She stood slightly to the right of the doors next to an ice cooler fighting with her umbrella. " Excuse me, love? Do you need some help?" asked victor, honey thick in his tone. trying to appear nice and caring while still being in control of his hunger.
The woman jumped at the sound of his voice, but recovered quickly and turned to face him with a smile. " No thank you, I'm fine. i've almost got it"
" Are you sure?" said Victor, his voice lower than normal because of his desire. " Yes," she answered.
"Well I'll leave you alone then. see you later love" said victor turning to go when suddenly the woman called out to him " wait!!!" she yelled at me to leave "okay maybe I do need help" she chuckled , clearly amused. Victor stopped, and smiled at her, " of course darling .I'd be more than happy to help" he replied smoothly and gracefully. He held out his hand and gestured for her to give him her umbrella. She handed it over to him and he pushed it open without much effort .
"thank you"she said, sighing like she had been holding her breath.
He raised an eyebrow at her and gave her a wink. " I should be thanking you darling," he whispered to her. she blushed and he stepped in front of her blocking her path. Victor gave her a warm smile so as to not seem like a threat " we'll miss it's quite late. Would you like some company as you walk?" Victor asked with a smirk giving her his 100 watt smile.
she seemed as if she would just melt , she looked him up and down licking her lips provocatively " the name's Annika handsome and I would love the company" she was trying to be seductive he found it to be quite funny and he stepped off into the night with her.
