Any cultivator who strives for Immortality and cannot achieve by design of the six bottlenecks of insights, will need to cultivate to the Peak of mortality, the Peak of the fifth Martial Mortal level and then a step farther, by luck more than hard work, to the Mortal Enlightenment state.
The majority of cultivators accomplish this by focusing on mist energy as the main aspect of their cultivation path. A small minority manages to do so by bodily refinement and a selective group of fortunate and talented makes it by soul cultivation.
Regardless the main path chosen, the other two will always attain a measure of benefits.
