Parker POV

When the guard fastens the collar around my neck, I can't feel Blaze at all. The pain and weakness I feel is indescribable. I fall to the ground ready to give up and let death just take me. I hear the growl and turn my head with the little strength I have left to see Blane staring with black eyes at Marissa before darkness consumes me.

Blane POV

When we get out of the car, I hear a commotion coming from the back of the pack house. I immediately head toward the sound followed by Timothy. When I see Parker collared and Marissa walking away, I'm ready to shift. How dare she act like my Luna giving orders to my guards. I growl and I can feel Titus at the surface. She looks up what the f**k do you think you're doing? She rushes toward me. "Blane he was trying to turn me against you so I am having him punished." I look past her at the guard standing near Parker's body on the ground. Did you collar him on her order? I can see he doesn't want to answer. I walk past her and get into the guard's face. Answer me now, I growl. "Yes Alpha I did." I turn to Brandon who has joined us, take it off him and take him to the pack hospital now. I turn back she is not your Luna and I am the only one who gives orders here. "Yes Alpha, I'm sorry" he grovels. You are going to be very sorry. Timothy collar him for twenty-four hours. His eyes get big and he begins to plead with me. Save your breath and take the punishment or I will make it longer. He immediately stops pleading as Timothy puts the collar around his neck. He falls to the ground writhing in pain and I turn back to Marissa.

I walk toward her "Blane why are you acting this way I'm to be your Luna?" I say nothing grabbing her by the arm roughly and dragging her through the house. "Blane what are you doing your scaring me." I lead her downstairs and when we reach a cell I throw her inside closing the door. She immediately starts to scream and cry. "Parker was telling the truth wasn't he. you were just using me." You are nothing to this pack, you do not give my pack members orders. You're lucky I didn't collar you. "Answer me dammit did you use me." I smile and she falls to the floor. I walk out of the cells and head toward the pack hospital. If he dies because of her stupid a** she won't live through tonight.

Ivy POV

"Ivy, I think we should start our pack tour with the Stone Pack." I thought you said he isn't our mate and now you want to go to his pack first Lucinda. "Don't be ridiculous its not about the hot Alpha." So, you admit he is hot. "Can you stay focused please and not act like a teenage girl." I just love to get you riled up I laugh. Why is it so important we go there first? "I can't really say but I just have a feeling we need to go there first." Ok I will make the arrangements tomorrow. I leave the bar and rejoin my family.

The festivities have died down and I'm sitting at the table with Jessie, Iris, my mother, and father. "What did you think of Alpha Blane Ivy" my dad asks. He was fine a little forward but fine. "He was hitting on you, are you going to take him up on it?" Don't be ridiculous Iris he isn't my mate. I have no interest in dating random wolves. Why are you wondering what I think of him dad? "You're usually a pretty good judge of character and I can't figure out why he rubs me the wrong way." "After Alpha Parker's pack was attacked and he went missing I found Blane's behavior peculiar." Who is Alpha Parker I don't recall that name? "He took over the Lotus Pack after his parents were killed by a rogue attack about nine months ago." "During the attack his ranked wolves were killed but they never found his body." That's awful and how did Alpha Blane gain the pack. "He petitioned as Parker's best friend and the leader of the neighboring pack." "He insisted that Parker would want him to watch over his pack." "He also took the Alpha's former Luna in and gave her a place in his pack." Where was she at the time of the attack? "You know I never really asked that question." "Maybe you can ask during your visit to the pack." I absolutely will and to answer your question I do get creeper vibes from him. Everyone laughs but I don't sugarcoat my opinion. An hour later I excuse myself to head up to my room.

Parker POV

I wake to the sound of machines beeping. I blink my eyes and look around seeing four white walls. I know I'm not dead because the afterlife wouldn't look like a hospital room. Why did he stop the collaring I know its not because he gives a sh*t about me? My mind is going a mile a minute. I'm thinking about how I can escape this f**king room but I'm sure he has a guard at the door. As if my thoughts bring Satan himself Blane comes walking in. "I'm glad to see her little stunt didn't kill you." Why because that would take your fun away? "Exactly I decide when you die not that b**ch." I stay silent. "No witty comment about your Luna that's surprising." "You should be thanking me she is being punished as we speak." Unlike the two of you causing others pain does not make me happy. The doctor walks in and comes near my bed. "Is he well enough to return to his cell?" "He definitely could use more fluids and rest." "That's not what I asked now can he return to his cell?" "Yes Alpha" but he will be weak. "Disconnect him now, I don't care how weak he is as long as he won't die." The doctor begins to disconnect all the machines before a guard comes into take me back to my cell. "I have good news for you Parker you're going to have company." I pray he doesn't mean who I think he means.

The guard practically drags me down to the cells and it is like my worst nightmare. She is in the cell next to mine. She looks up when she hears us and I can see the hatred on her face. I immediately head for my cot and lay down. "This is all your fault you ba**ard" she starts to scream at me. I take the pillow placing it over my head to drown out her voice. Blaze, can you hear me, are you alright? "I'm here Parker just very weak." Thank goddess I didn't know if you would survive that collaring even for a few minutes with how weak we are. "No, you're not getting rid of me I told you everything is going to change very soon." Blaze, you have to stop pretending that we are getting out of her alive. "I'm fighting for you and you have no right to give up." He recedes in my mind and in my weakened state I pass out despite her screaming.
