friends or lovers

It was just another not so special day in my life in this small cloudy rainy town .my alarm clock wakes me it's 6 am ,oh I hate mornings should of slept earlier but my insomnia never gives me a chance to.i am the slowest person laziest human being I know, I woke played music on my phone to getbme in the mood I sing along in the shower took me at least 30 to finish getting ready and dressing up made a cup of coffee for a little energy I ran out of my apartment to find the bus it drops me of at the café where I work part time as I also have to attend my college classes in the evenings. I walked in the exit door behind the café put on my uniform "hey jes" it was Brian "hey you...you early today"I replied"mhm yep I wanted to beat ya" he said walking to the coffee machine"well mission successful" I replied .I started to clean behind the entrance door not paying attention my headphones on suddenly door open slammed on my side "what the hell " I said outloud and I looked up to see who it was "sorry" he said " it's fine ...you know we not even open yet" I said annoyed leaning on my broom"I know just I saw you guys through the window and I have to be early in for work today so I thought you could do me a favour"he said with a little bit of attitude "please" he said again with a little bit of hesitation"ugh your bill" I ask annoyed still and I went to make him his coffee came and handed it to him "thanks" he said " sure but it doesn't mean you special"I said getting my broom back "I know"he replied again"whatever" I said with an attitude" attitude much"he asked with a a smirk and left and I feel so annoyed who does he think he is anyway "who was he"Letty asked"I have no idea some loser"I said not caring"some hot loser"she said and I rolled my eyes at her"oh come he is hawt and you know it his style torned jeans and that t-shirts exposing his muscles MH and his jaws honey also his inviting green eyes" she said seductively"well I don't know cause I didn't look at him with so much interested he is annoying arrogant and you know can't stand him for some reason" I said cleaning the counter and tables"well jes it's not like you can stand any guy it's no surprise I mean tell me have any of your relationship gone long enough for a month no " she complained " well it's not like it wasn't for a good reason just let it go ,make yourself a cup of coffee you look drained" I went to clean the outside tables and there he was seating there made himself comfortable looking at his phone I walked to him"so you are a liar ?" I asked "excuse me" he answered with another question"you said you going in for work early and now you're here" I said" so" he asked again with attitude"you lied to get coffee when we weren't open" I said irritated by his calmness and attitude" so what" he said his eyes locked on me sipping his coffee and all I wanted to do was snatch it and spill it on him but apparently customer is always right so I just continued to clean the tables" what's your name "he asked from the distance"non of your business really" I answered"oh come on its just a name and you really don't need to be rude about it "he said calmly with that dumb smirk again"what is your name again" I turned to him and asked" Jayden Cole" he answered I smiled and went back into the café it's was about time customer came in out finally 15 minutes to 5 pm I had to go to my classes I went to change in my jeans and a top that barely touched my belly button tied my braids in a ponytail and I was ready to go as I was approaching the door he opened it to enter "oh you" he said not really sure what to make of his expression "yes me what are you doing here " I said going out " you want a lift?" he asked " not really" I replied "to repay the coffee favour"he said" MH am good don't you like somewhere to or something?"I asked irritated again"am already here"he said " MH alright then take me to Highlands college" I said we got in the car the college was about 15 minutes away " so how old are you" he asked his eyes on the road I smiled without showing my teeth"MH 19 how old are you"I asked ,"I will tell you if you tell me your name"Jessica"I said"oh Jessi am 19 too " he replied "MH yet you work aren't you supposed to be in college " I asked suspiciously" mhm family business and stuff " he answered " I see thanks for the ride" I said getting out of his gray jeep" sure but that doesn't mean you special" he said with a smile I smiled and walked to my lecture hall I barely listen lecture I was on my phone bored and wanted to go home it was raining and getting dark my friend who usually drops isn't here hopefully I can get a cab I walked to the taxi rank I was still raining I got a cab quick got home got in a tub of warm water the radio on I thought about my day what his intentions are why did suddenly offer a lift but as he said just repaying the favour after my bath I made coffee again no wonder I sleep late I tried doing homework but couldn't then try to draw still was lazy so I went in bed to overthink instead something am professional at I don't know I fell asleep my alarm clock wakes up again same old routine got to work " hey guys what's up" I said to everyone they all said hi back and started with my work cleaning the tables he came in to me I was surprised because I thought he won't do it again " hi " he said"hi..?" I replied he handed me the bill "making it a habit are we" I asked as I snatched the bill "so what" he said with that same attitude that just throws me off I went to get his coffee along with the bill there was a smally tiny note that simply said "friends? " and his number I smiled I wrote my number on his coffee cup didn't really think much of it"here" handed him the cup "thanks" he said and left "mmmhhm and you said he wasn't cute " Letty said behind me" did I and we are just just friends okay so please don't" I said" yes yes just friends it always starts"just" friends" she said I rolled my eyes at her I still did not feel any chemistry towards him I was still keep my distance I get attached so easily I honestly never just saw him like that in my arms or anything of that sort days went by we had late night conversations he shared a little about himself but not enough to let me figure him out completely he just went through a breakup days before I met him and of course he had made it a habit coming at the café earlier and at times I would seat with him and suddenly we started flirting and then I fell in love he became something I craved and precious to me he made me happy I can't even remember if I was ever this happy he always knew what when and how to say it even our little ridiculous arguments were funny to because we both had attitude and were stubborn but I still didn't tell him how I feel and I never want to until today he called " hi ?" he said "how are you" I asked "am good..wachu doing?." he asked "nothing much and you" I replied" MH talking to my favourite person" he answered softly with a sleepy voice "awee" I said dumbest thing I could say and the only one that was available in my head I guess"MH truth or dare "he said" truth" I replied"do I make you happy "he asked"yes you why"I asked "do you have feelings for me and please don't lie" he asked again my heart skipped a beat and I thought I was playing it cool around him and he won't notice my feelings for him"umm mh why you asking "I asked again"just yes or no" he said"if I tell you then what " I asked"tell me truth and swear it on your life " he said calmly"yes I do but nothing has to change" I said "thanks" that's all he said"um it's late I have to go" I said nervously and ended the call without letting him speak things continue to be normal as usual between but I was just so attached to and he started to give me a daily dose of affection leaving me wanting more he made sure I was comfortable until I let him in and my guard down he came over were talking and having coffee our usual disagreements of things that don't even matter"oh be quite " I said"make me " he replied challengingly I smirk and kissed him"oh now I won't "he said "and why not" I asked " cause I want more" he said with a smile" then why didn't you just kiss me then" I asked I wanted to make sure you are comfortable" he said "I see"we went to bed like to normal friends though it was hard for me he knows what he is doing and a falling straight in his trap I woke up he was already awake ready to go " where you going" I asked " stripclub" he said "lies" I said he came and kissed me and left and left me lying rolling in butterflies he started coming over almost everyday to me we were nomore in friend zone but he didn't ask me out yet I still let him in
