A session with Dr. Miranda and meeting Rhys Wright in one day make my heart can’t stop beating really fast right now that I need to calm myself.

“It’s been a while since I meet you, Ms. Brancaccio or should I called... what’s your husband name again?” He asked and break the silence with a raise eyebrow that I found sexy.

But I almost choke on my breath again when he mention husband.
Oh yeah, he didn't know..
I sighed and shook my head before give a small smile to him “Yeah, how are you, Mr. Wright?" I try to sound polite before added "And you can keep calling me with the name Brancaccio again” He look confuse for a second that make me shrugged my shoulder “I’m divorce” There, I told him.
He look surprise for a second and didn't said anything.
“Ehem.. wow that’s good..” He clear his throat “I mean, sorry to hear that”

I chuckled “well.. yeah” then I try to change the subject before he ask me the reason and I can't imagine telling him the sob story of my marriage “So, what are you doing here, Mr. Wright? I mean, aren’t your girlfriend waiting for you?” I try to not sound suspicious or jealous when mentioned about other woman, I notice the other night he was there in the restaurant with a beauty woman, I bet it's his girlfriend.
Rhys just smirk “Call me, Rhys. And no...” He stop while take a sip of his coffee that make me raise my eyebrow in curios “there is no girlfriend”
Really? I thought happily.
No Charlotte, you can’t think that.
“Do you want to be one?” He suddenly speak again.

He chuckled and lean closer that make my heartbeat jump immediately.
“I said, do you want to be one... of my girlfriend?” He speak with a deep voice and keep his eyes on me when he said it.
Oh God, he did it again.
What is it with this man who can make me lost from myself just from looking to his eyes, why he can effect me like this.
No, I can’t let myself fell again to a man.
Look at his big body, Landon 5.11 height can hurt me this bad and with Rhys 6,3 height and big build body, he can easily kill me in my place.

“So..Sorry, I.. I need to go” I scarily said before collect my stuff in hurry.
Quickly I stood up from my place and walk away from him who look shock for a second before stood up on his feet to follow me.
“Wait.. Charlotte wait” He grab my hand and stop me from my running away.
My heart beating really fast right now because I was scared, not with him but with what he can do to me and with my reaction to him.
“Princess? Do you need help?” I heard one of my bodyguard come and I can see he's looking at Rhys like he want to threaten him for dare touching me.
I watch Rhys clenched his left hand which didn’t hold me and know that if I didn’t do something, they will hit each other and I know everyone in this cafe already smell something because I can feel their eyes on us right now.
So I shook my head and smile to my bodyguard “No, Leo. Mr. Wright is just want to leave anyway” I told him with my eyes lock on the man who still grip my elbow tight.
“You sure?” Leo reassure with his eyes turn from me to the big man beside me.
“Yes” I turn my gaze to him and give my bodyguard a reassure smile.
He nod “I’ll be outside if you need anything” was his last word before turn around and leaving but still giving a hard gaze to Rhys who scoffs rudely.
“You need to go before he think that you’re going to harm me” I told him quietly.
He raise his eyebrow and looking at me with a ‘are you kidding me?’ looks.
“I’m not afraid with your father toy” He state firmly and I can't help myself but smile before shook my head a little when I hear his word ‘Toy’
“You should”
He keep his hand holding my arm and I guess he doesn’t want to let me go easily. “Promise me you’ll see me again, there's so many things that I need to talk with you, Charlotte”
What?
Did.. Did he really want to see me again?
“Charlotte, Promise me you’ll come and we’ll meet again” He demand.
“Why?”
He blinked “What?”
“Why did you want to see me?” I asked him seriously “Is it because of who I am, who my father is?” I hate when people want to be friend or closed to me because of who I am, I don’t want to faced that another man closed to me just because of who I am and my wealthy.
Landon gave me enough of time to realize that every man wants me because of my family.
But, suddenly Rhys laugh really hard that make me blushed.
“Hahaha... You.. You thought.. Hahaha..” He keep laughing at me when he start speaking.
I am staring at him in anger and wait for him to calm down.
What's so funny?!
“Sorry” He take a deep breathe and wipe the tears in his eyes like he really find my word amusing. “It just, you’re so funny Charlotte”
Yeah right.. I thought sarcastically.
“You’re wrong, woman” He lean down and speak in my ear that make my face reddened from the closeness “I don’t like your father. I want his daughter” I gasp and snap my hand from his grip before running away from him with a last glance back to where he was standing with a smirk and blow me a kiss.
Thank God, tomorrow I’m going to France for college and not going to meet the demon in here again.

I keep repeating his word in my mind when I’m gone with my bodyguard back to my mansion and feel that my heart stop for a second when I hear him.

"Rhys Wright? "
I raise my head and see Vincent Brancaccio who look handsome smiling friendly when he stood in front of me.
"Mr. Brancaccio" I stood up from my seat and shake his hand "It's a pleasure to meet you here. Please have a seat" I point to the empty seat infront of me.
He chuckled and nod "Sorry, I don't mean to disturb you or anything" He said and sat arrogantly.
I notice the bodyguard behind him and he wave his hand before they are leaving "So, how's business?" He asked.
I nod "It was great, thanks for the support"
First day I came to Italy and have this plan, Benny, my friend told me to speak to the Brancaccio family first so there is noone will dare to disrupt my plan.
It was great for knowing that they agreed with everything that I tell them about it and have Brancaccio as an alliance was really a great idea.
I am a contractor and we just need the last touch for the project.
"You were exactly like people said" Vincent sip his coffee and lock his eye on me.
I raise my eyebrows "What did they said?"
He shrugged "That you're great with your job"
"It just rumors" I chuckled and shook my head "I mean, we should done our job seriously, right?"
He nod "You're right and you know I like you" His word surprise me "My father also like you"
The waitress come with our food and I smile to say thanks to her who quickly blushed.
I sighed and rolled my eyes. 'Woman, why they easily act like that?' I thought sarcastically.
I heard Vincent laugh and make me raise my head to his direction.
"You have that effects to every woman" He smirked and I just scoffs.
"They won't act the same when they saw me 10 years ago because I'm not like who I am right now" I said bitterly.
He smile and look interest with what I said "Do you had a hard time when you were young?"
I nod "Horrible time and luckily I can get out from that hell hole" I told him the truth.
"Everyone have their past and we can't let it hunt us now, right?" I smile and know why I like this man from the first time I meet him "At least, you're not like the man you used to" He said like he knows something about it.
The Brancaccio family were a great family that I know, even with their wealth, they all act so down to earth and nice with people.
I also know that they were the strongest and biggest Mafia in Italy. They have so many members around the world, I guess he know about me and my story then.
Not the family that you want to messed.
"So, I've see you with Rachel and the blonde woman before?" Vincent winked his eyes and that's not the way I want he think about me, since I have a secret intention to his sister.
"Yeah, it just some dinner with friend" I try to assured him but I see he grinned before shrug and nod, not asking for another question like he didn't trust my word, great.
I clear my throat and try to look calm when I open my mouth "I've seen your whole family when you're having your family dinner in some restaurant"
He smile "Yes, I notice you were there"
"Yeah" I nod "The beautiful woman is your mother and sister then?" I try to not sound suspicious and make him wonder with anything behind my question.
He put the fork before answer me "Yes, it's like a welcome home dinner for my sister, Charlotte"
I raise my eyebrow "Welcome home from where?"
"Well.. She's.. let just say, running away with her boyfriend and getting married, and just got home and said already divorced with the prick" He explained and make me curious more.
"Something happened then?" I asked.
He nod " I guess, but, the important thing is she's back" and then he take one long gulp of his coffee.
I can tell that their family disapprove with the relationship between Charlotte and his boyfriend.
Did something happen to her? I thought and angry when I'm thinking someone hurt her.
I need to know more about her.
"So, she's back to your parents house then?" I wish to see her again soon if possible.
But his answer surprise me.
"No"
what?
"What do you mean no?" I really confused right now. Please don't say she has another boyfriend or moving with him.
"She went back to her college in France for 3 months" He said lightly and I can’t tell how shocked I am for hearing the news from him.
Shit, that’s why I never see her around anymore.
Talking about fate and how much God hate me so He make her go away from me again.
That's mean a no seeing her for a while again.
Or I just can go to France, right?
