"Take me to a pharmacy or a....general store!" I said waving my hands in the air for a whatever gesture.
"No, women, no. I ain't up for this type of s**t. Alpha is going to throw me where Soner is!" He stood up all hands up surrender action.
"Please, it's important, you have to!" I tried to reason, I didn't wanted to tell him about my doubts on how I am pregnant, for all I a know I'm delusional.
"What is so important, huh?"
"Promise me, if I tell you this? You won't tell anybody," I neared him looking around and speaking low. He needed to know, I couldn't put this on hold at all.
"Okay..." he drawled.
"I think I am pregnant." I confessed looking down, I wanted to cry desperately but that'd only be worse. I will cry, I will get a blocked nose, pounding headache and then I'll sleep to wake up absolutely grumpy, can't afford that when I need to make a big dinner for his majesty.
His eyes widened, then he sat, he shook his head, he stood up, he opened his mouth again and then he started pacing.
"A real baby. Huh?" He queried.
"Well, I didn't know I could be pregnant with dolls inside of me," I retorted sarcastically, there was a baby inside of me, no kidding in that. I had forgotten my sarcastic side, it didn't even exist anymore. Talking back to Lysander means a trip to the dungeons.
He gave me a unbelievable look tilting his head.
"Lysander will die happy or he'll burn the whole world down in fury, this type of news we are talking about here." He warned, I swallowed down the lump in my throat.
He won't kill the baby, would he? I'll try escaping again if he even thinks about that.
"He won't hurt it, will he?" I found myself asking, Joshua looked up and he almost yelled, "No!"
I sighed, "Look, please help me, I am not even sure," I tried to convince, I needed to know. The medicals, diets, cautions and everything else pregnancy insisted on.
"How about you stay here and I'll get you those things," he rolled his eyes his hands waving in whatever gestures, this guy truly hated the women nature.
"Okay, that's okay, I'll wait." I nodded, he was off in no time and I sat on the sofa trying not to worry my brains out.
A baby, it's a life. Oh God. Oh God. This couldn't be worse.
I kept rolling the same thought in my head, placing a hand on my stomach I smiled, a smile that touched my eyes, a full smile of knowing there was a life inside of me but it vanished, life was hard and if your mate is Lysander Tryst? It's worse.
Joshua came back with a pregnancy kit, something I'd never seen before.
I was pacing when he surprised me and I almost hit him, "Woah, she wolf. Calm down, it's me."
I sighed and he handed me the pharmacy shopper with a wide smile on it, nothing to smile about, absolutely nothing.
10 minutes later I was pacing outside the bathroom door as Joshua leaned in the door way playing candy crush, "Please God, let it be negative..." I muttered helplessness deep in my voice.
I peered over to Joshua who was merely looking at me, "Joshua?" I said his name in a breathy whisper.
"Hnm?" He didn't look up so I marched over and too the phone out his hands, blame it on the anxiousness I had had a strong backbone discovery in these few hours.
"I was on level 45 and it's pretty difficult women, you have ruined my life I was about to win after 4 months of trying. What did I ever do to you?" Joshua looked at her with puppy dog eyes, almost crying. She choked back a laugh or a surprised reaction, she didn't know to laugh or to cry.
"I can do it for you, I am past it, but please, do me favor," She handed him the phone as he corrected his posture.
"What would that be, your majesty. Your slave servant, in your presence." He mocked bow.
"Check the results, please, I can't," She begged with her best innocent look, she didn't have to try, she was all fragile radiance and glow.
"You want me to touch your, you know?" He grimaced. He eyed her up and down, "Yes you are very very very out of the ordinary and way too much beautiful but..." he drew his teeth together and scrunched his face.
Avery flushed, damn him for being so blunt.
"D-Don't touch, just...just look," She reasoned, he thought for a while and then nodded gesturing for the door. Avery gave her approval and off he was.
"God, help me...." She prayed again.
She had her eyes squeezed and heart thumping wildly as Joshua came out.
"Calm down women, the line is red that definitely means you're not pregnant. Now stop pacing, do you have something to eat? I'm starving, oh! I got the number of that new chick, she's a horse women, HOT!" Joshua took one look at my face as his rant came to and end as he slid back into the room and came out with the box.
"Red means you're pregnant........" Joshua let out a blue streak.
Avery slumped down and a soft sob escaped her mouth as all the confirmation she needed was there.
She was pregnant.
And she needed to escape.
And Joshua will help her because he had to.
"I dont like that look, man, no, please, no..."
