Alexa's Pov-
Watching the tress pass by, sitting in the car that is being driven on an unsettled path, feeling the cool breeze, and listening to the twin's incessant ear-sickening singing. This is how the trip is going by far. We have come far from home already and don't know when we'll reach our destination.
"How much more time D?" I ask Desmond.
"We are close to it. Will reach in a few minutes." He says making me ecstatic.
"Thank God!" I exclaim.
"Yeah, wanna get rid of their singing right?" He asks while chuckling.
"Hey! You gotta feel the music and sing. It doesn't matter if you can sing well or not." Brett exclaims.
"Okay, we've reached. Now get your asses out of the jeep." Desmond says giving the excitement of Brett and Rhett a completely new height.
We all get out of the car and I notice a board by the side. It is a wooden plank stuck in the ground with another plank set on it horizontally that says, "Do not cross" with a cross sign beside it.
"Desmond, look," I say pointing at the board. I turn around when I don't hear any commotion.
"WHAT!? There is a clear message not to enter!" I yell at them.
"Did we choose the wrong place?" Brett says.
"Desmond asked to come here!" Rhett exclaims.
"Don't put the blame on me. I told you guys it's not like any other forest." Desmond defends himself.
"How did you even find this place!?" Rhett says as Brett doesn't seem to be in a condition to utter any word. As I said before, always the one who gets apprehensive first.
"After the death of grandfather, I had driven to this place. I didn't see the board that night..."
"NIGHT! You chose to come here at night for the first time!?" Brett says.
"It wasn't intentional. I just stumbled upon this place. But yeah, when I came here, there were many sounds heard, nothing else." He says nonchalantly.
"Look, we know there are no animals this side of our country and that is enough. We can handle with the rest." I say trying to calm them all, well.... trying to calm Rhett and Brett because Desmond isn't fazed by anything.
"Yeah, you are right," Rhett says quickly and we get inside further.
"It'll be dark soon so we should first set up the tents," Desmond suggests and we all agree.
We put on the tents with mainly Desmond doing all the work before we decide to go in the search of wood sticks for a little bonfire. We decide to go together since the only one daring is Desmond. Moving deeper into the woods, I feel a very unbelievable feeling of awareness. It's like I know the place and I have been here before. I don't understand it but that's how it is. It's a highly unusual feeling of knowing this place, and more.
A rush of wind comes from my right I turn in that direction. Unbeknown to me, I start moving deeper and deeper in the direction. I keep taking turns as if I know every single corner of this area. As I keep moving, through so many trees and their branches, I see a peaky top of something. It's more like a castle. I move further down the bumpy path and a huge giant castle comes into my view. It's more haunted yet beautiful. Big, windows with tattered curtains covering the view. I bet it's from many years back or probably a century or even more.
I feel the urge to explore it and my feet again having the mind of their own begins taking me in its direction.
"Alexa!" I hear my name being called and I stop but don't look behind me.
"Alexa! Why the hell would you leave us and roam here all alone?" I hear Desmond's voice as he shakes me by my shoulders. I don't look at him still and just keep observing the beautiful glory that stands in front of me.
"Alexa." He says in a much calmer tone and urges me to look at him. Turning to him, I only ask one question,
"What is this?" I ask.
He looks in the direction where I'm pointing my finger, "Might be the home to the royals from ancient. Now come with me cause I left those two idiots together and I don' have any intention to look for them if they get lost." He says and starts dragging me to our friends who dump me with many questions too.
"Okay, enough woods, now let's go," Desmond announces, and looking at the path that took me to the castle and giving it one last lingering look, I turn back to my friends and notice Desmond already observing me. He comes to me, "Do not even think of going there alone." He says.
"Why?" I ask.
"Why would you? What if you get lost or feel scared there. Do not go Alexa and that's a request." He says. 'Aww.... my dear friend.'
"Okay. Don't stress yourself now." I say while pulling his cheeks who scrunches his face at that.
"Come fast you fools. Don't blame us if you get lost and cry afterward." Brett says and I laugh thinking, 'He is the one saying that?'
We move in the direction where we put up our tents and now it's pretty dark too. Forests area tend to stop the sunlight and offer the darkness much earlier after all.
"What the f**k!?"
"Holy s**t!" We hear Rhett and Brett yelling at the same time and increase our pace. On reaching the location, we find them both standing, trees surrounding us, our camping bags huddled together, and..... just that...
Like.... where the hell did our tents go!?
What are we gonna do now!?
Where will we spend our night!?
Why did this blunder happen at the first hand!? One should have definitely stayed here to take care of our things and the tents!
