“Julie,” Alexis glanced at her secretary, still doting on the dogs. “Oh yes,” Julie smiled. “They came for you while you were in your meeting.” “I see,” Alexis said before slowly approaching the bouquet. Sean and Theo stepped into the office after her and closed the door once the dogs were inside. They watched their sister with concerned gazes. Of all the men Alexis dated over the years, she had only brought one or two around the family. None of those relationships lasted long and though she was good at hiding her disappointment they knew how much it broke her heart. Alexis would never admit it, but she was quite the romantic.
