Caden woke early, his mind still mulling over his conversation with Alexis. Everything seemed to be fine between them despite attacking her brother. In fact, she didn’t even seem upset. He supposed he would learn more when they had dinner together.
Just the thought brought a smile to his face and he wondered what he should make for her. To his knowledge, she didn’t have any allergies, which definitely simplified his meal planning. As he mulled over the possibilities, Beethoven rubbed against his legs to remind him that the feline needed its breakfast as well. Reaching down to pet his little roommate, Caden fed him then sat down with a cup of tea. His phone buzzed, alerting him of his next appointment: orchestra practice.
