Alexis suddenly jolted out of her circling thoughts to see her brothers watching her from across the desk. She shook her head, but it didn’t help clear the memory of the dinner…or the kiss.
“Are you okay?” Sean asked. “You’ve been spacing out all day and we’ve got a pretty big meeting in less than an hour.”
“Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Did something happen?” Theo asked. “Did Caden do something? Say something? If he’s angry about his sister he should talk to me, not take it out on you.”
