BEATRICE
How can you be so stupid, Beatrice Santiago? I thought.
Why did I have to blurt out that she was mine. She’s not mine, she never was. But seeing Eliana flirt with her in the most shameless way, had me fuming.
Not that she was a bad person, but she never liked to mind her own business. She was always here, trying to be part of our family affairs, as if she didn’t have some of her own with her father’s empire.
My parents were still welcoming of all of them. Her, Sierra and even Sofia, but the latter was closer to me, and despite her annoying me, I loved her.
Eliana was just too much. Her tomboy way of dressing and her wild attitude is what made her unfit to take over Luciano. She respected her parents, there was no doubt, but always wanted to live her life the way she wanted to, and not the way it was expected of her.
She still has a lot of growing up to do.
Not giving the issue much thought, I took my clothes off and tossed them on the floor while I turned the water on, filling the bathtub.
I haven’t seen my father since I came here, and I needed to talk to him before we started preparing Sophia’s event. Her and her husband haven’t named their baby girl yet, they were waiting for the day she got baptized.
As I relaxed in the water, I heard the door open slowly. Looking up, Cynthia was standing there with her arms folded on her chest and raising her eyebrows at me.
“What was that about? You seriously need to stop this s**t, Bea. You either want me or not, but I’m tired of your games. You don’t want me, but you don’t want Eliana to flirt with me, and to be honest, she’s beautiful and you’re annoying the f**k out of me.”
I sat up, not looking straight into her eyes. If I did, I would just leave this tub and make her mine in this bathroom.
“You can’t flirt with her, or let her do the same with you. She’s not someone who commits to a relationship…”
“Oh, and you are?” she interrupted, making me close my eyes in irritation.
“I can’t commit, and I have my own reasons.”
“What are those? Afraid your father might find out that you’re attracted to women? He’s going to find out eventually, and it’s better if he hears it from you than from someone else.”
I knew she was right, this secret would not be a secret for much longer, and I needed to tell him.
“I’m not only scared about that. Cynthia, I am not fit to be in a relationship. My last one didn’t last long, but luckily we ended up on good terms. I’m just afraid to fall in love….with you,” I finally confessed, looking at her eyes soften and her lips tilting to the side in a small smile.
“I can change your mind, Bea. If not, then I’ll stop insisting and I will even quit my job if you want me to. But give me a chance to make you happy,” she whispered, kneeling by the bathtub and looking at me with those beautiful gray eyes that had my heart beating fast.
“But it’s not fair that one minute you treat me like I am the world to you, and then the next, you just toss me aside. You wouldn’t want me flirting with Eliana, would you?” she smirked.
I chuckled, bitterly. Of course I didn’t want her flirting around with anyone.
Cynthia was taking her clothes off, bringing me to the realization that she planned on joining me. I wanted to stop her, but my body froze on the spot, wanting her to be inside the bathtub with me.
And that’s what she did.
She stepped in, slowly bringing her body down while looking at me with lust in her eyes as she bit her bottom lip to hold back a smile. Her breasts were in full sight, beautifully round.
She leaned over, and for the first time, she was dominating me. My brain was not responding enough to push her away as she brought her lips down my neck, peppering my sensitive skin with kisses.
“Give me the chance to know what love feels like, to spoil you,” she said as I bit my lips to hold back a moan. She was going to be the death of me.
Her hand roamed down my body until it reached the most intimate part of me, rubbing my clit slowly, torturing me to no end.
She was taking control, and for the first time, I was not acting like her boss. I was her woman, her submissive, her...lover.
Her delicate hands acted with expertise, sliding her fingers up and down my folds. She crashed her lips against mine, holding my hair into a fist with her free hand as she kept rubbing faster this time.
“You have to stop,” I begged, not wanting her to, but I couldn’t give in to her dominance. She held my chin, lifting my head to look at her face as she smiled mischievously.
“Why would you want me to stop? I want to return the favor, aren’t you enjoying this?” she asked, leaning over to nip at my ear.
I was close to reaching my orgasm, and there was no going back. For the first time in so long, I could feel myself giving in and enjoying this moment.
I have been with many women, but none of them were as amazing. One more kiss from her and it was all I needed to reach my ecstasy, releasing my juices on her soapy fingers.
I rested my head on the edge of the bathtub, trying to catch my breath while she leaned down to kiss my collarbone, her tongue leaving wet trails.
“That was amazing,” she said, sitting back on the other side and grabbing the sponge to bathe herself before she lathered my body with it.
“Cynthia…”
Cynthia leaned over again, covering my mouth with her hand.
“Shh...Please, don’t say anything. I'll give you time to think about it, then let me know your answer.”
With that, she stepped out and wrapped a towel around her body, sauntering out of the bathroom on purpose to tempt me. I groaned in frustration, stepping out myself to get dressed before I walked into my room.
As I did, I noticed she was gone. Did she really leave with just the towel? What if anyone sees her leave here half naked?
I heard a knock on the door, and the housekeeper opened the door. Benita had passed away a few years ago, so Dad had to hire a new one. Lupe I think was her name.
“Hello, Miss Santiago. Your father just arrived and he would like to see you,” she said in Spanish.
“Thank you, Lupe. I’ll be down there.”
Seven years without seeing him, only on video chats and phone calls, and as much as I wanted to stay away from all this, I missed him dearly.
Walking down the stairs, I saw him in the foyer, shaking hands with a mysterious tall man before he closed the door behind him.
“Dad,” I called. He turned around, giving me a big smile and extending his arms to hug me. Years have fallen on him, he was not the young man he used to be. He still shaved off his head, but his beard looked gray, hinting at his mature age.
“My beautiful princess. I’m so happy to see you back. We’ve missed you so much,” he said, squeezing me as if I was going to disappear from his life again.
But this was just a vacation. I would enjoy it with them, but I had to go back to New York after all this was over.
“I’m glad you came before I went to sleep. It’s very important that you see something I received. Can we go to your studio?”
“Of course, come on.”
He led me to the room, and I had to say, nothing had changed. It was all on the same spot, and the smell of his Cuban cigars overtook my senses.
As a kid, I loved sitting on his lap while he smoked one of those, not that it was healthy, but smelling the smoke coming out of them, made me feel closer to him, especially since my mother was not in the picture anymore.
“So, tell me. What did you need to show me?”
I grabbed the letter from my pocket and handed it to him. As he read it, a frown formed on his face before he looked at me, confused.
“I received it this morning, well morning in New York. I have no idea who could have done this, and I didn’t have time to get a DNA test on it. Although, I doubt there’s anything. Gloves could have been used.”
He sat down, taking a small blue flashlight from his desk drawer and pointing a blue light against it.
“There are fingerprints. Whoever did it, might have wanted for you to know who it was. I will give this to my men and they will bring it to a lab. I got connections.”
I put my hands in my pocket, wanting to tell him what I suspected.
“There’s something else. Cynthia, who is my personal assistant, came to my apartment prior to getting this letter. She was nervous and acting a bit weird,” I said, taking a deep breath.
“She’s the reason we’re here earlier than planned. I have my suspicions that maybe not directly, but she might have something to do with this.”
