I feel like I’m on a warpath as I hunt down Kalen. I enter the bedroom and Lycus, who isn’t expecting me, jumps. My eyes go to Kalen, and Lycus’ following as I pin him with my glare where he sits. Lycus jumps when I take a step in Kalen’s direction, not expecting my burning anger. Kalen rolls his eyes, and I’m not sure I like the attitude he’s developing with Aleera here.
My steps are purposeful as I stalk toward him. He doesn’t move, and it’s clear he expects my anger at what he has done but he also doesn’t care for my fury. Lycus moves quickly as I approach Kalen, stepping into my path before I can reach him. My chest smacks against his. Lycus growls at me, his eyes flickering to his beast.
