Book 2 Chapter 9

1287 Words

“It won’t make her love you any less,” Lycus says consolingly. Their words confuse me, and I try to process what he means. I desperately want to ask, yet my tongue feels thick in my mouth. You get their magic, but you also get all their secrets, even the ones we haven’t told each other,” Darius murmurs, the last part as if he had just remembered. Was that what Kalen was worried about? I know that already, so why is he so scared of me learning about his past?
