Rustling brown leaves greeted the hunters as they walked past the iron gate. An eerie silence pervaded the night air. The only thing they could hear was the sound of their own footsteps as the their boots crunched the withered leaves littered on the gravel path leading to the mansion. When the dark grey clouds overhead cleared away, the waning moon re-appeared in the sky and washed away the numbing darkness with its soft silvery glow.
