Vanessa was still too weak to perform a banishing ritual and David was still not accustomed to such complex incantations. Mortimer was the only one who could banish Eligos’ soul back to hell. But he had a different plan in mind. Instead of banishing the greater demon, he wanted to hand him over to a Seraph. He wanted Eligos to share the fate of Leraje and rot in Verlac, just like his cousin.
Mortimer took out his holy relic to summon Melaleh but Vanessa stopped him. “I won’t let you call an angel. They should not interfere with our world. Eligos belongs in hell,” she protested.
“I want to finish the job. We both know if we send him back to hell he will regain his power after a few centuries and he may return once more to terrorize our world. He needs to be imprisoned in Verlac,” Mortimer
