Sierra’s POV “What are you saying, Jayden?” I finally managed to ask, my voice barely above a whisper. He reached out, brushing a stray strand of hair from my face. The small, tender gesture sent my heart into chaos. “I’m saying… I’m sorry for everything. And I’m asking you to trust me. Just a little longer.” My breath caught in my throat. I wanted to believe him, to trust the sincerity in his voice. But the guarded look in his eyes reminded me that he was still hiding so much. “I’ll try,” I whispered, the words feeling both like a promise and a risk.
