Sierra’s POV As I hurried back toward the house, my heart raced, and my thoughts swirled in chaos. The woods seemed darker than before, shadows closing in as the tension from the confrontation echoed behind me. I tried to block out the rising voices, but Jayden’s shout carried through the trees, clear and unmistakable: “You cheated first, Zoe!” His words rang in my ears, thick with anger and bitterness. “What are you talking about? It was just once.” Zoe’s voice shot back, dripping with indignation. “Oh, don’t play dumb,” Jayden snapped. “Do you want me to spell it out for everyone? The lies, the sneaking around, the games?
