Carmen kissed me deeply. Her fingers fluttered over my face and I groaned at all the beautiful softness assaulting my senses. She made me happy beyond reasoning.
She pulled out of the kiss slightly. “You are the most handsome troll in the world, Rock. I would never lie about that. Whether tonight or weeks ago, you’re always the most handsome man I have ever met.”
I chuckled. “I’m hideous to humans and trolls. I know all of the werewolves I’ve met thought I was ugly too.”
“Maybe you are only handsome to me, but that’s because I see inside you. I see your gorgeous heart and brain. That’s all that really matters. If anyone else could see that, they would understand that you are the most handsome man in existence.”
