Corrine got up, a little flustered. Carmen was bright red with embarrassment, and Cathy looked like she’d just swallowed a mountain goat starting at the wrong end. Beth was hiding her face on Mike’s shoulder, but I was pretty sure it was because she was laughing. That reminded me.
“Mike, I need to talk to you outside, do you mind?” I asked.
“Sure, Rock,” he replied, patting Beth’s back.
