Gav stared down at Dara with narrowed eyes. He did not look at his grandfather. Dara remained standing still even though her knees were trembling. Tony, the butler, appeared. "Good evening, Sir Gav and Miss Stone. Sir Gavreel, there's a call for you," he said placidly. "Excuse me, Dara," Gavreel Senior murmured softly. "Gav, I'll be back!" It was almost a hiss when he passed by the wheelchair. He flipped the three-way switch at the door to illuminate the dim interior of the library.
