Giovanni P.O.V. I was thinking to myself as I gazed at the framed portrait of Megan that was sitting next to the television. I was aware that it was only a matter of chance that Caroline's ambulance had been the one to arrive at the scene of the blaze first, since it was merely a coincidence. It was she who was in the building at the same time as I was. During the whole time that she was held captive there, she did not exhibit any signs of worry, stress, or terror in her eyes at all.
