(Caspian) Her place of work was on her rental application, so it’s not like I had to do much digging. I wasn’t stalking her. I just needed to know. As soon as I walked in, I scented her. My whole body seemed to be tethered to her presence before I even saw her. She smelled like warmth. A mix of fresh bread and something softer, greener.
