It all began when kemi, the first wife of Gidion was washing clothes in front of Gidion's house. The second wife of Gidion was sweeping towards kemi but kemi did not give her space to continue sweeping so the second wife got angry and poured the cloth in the bucket away and abused kemi. kemi tried to calm her down but she did not answer and even abused her the more saying “You this woman that hasn’t given birth and you are even the cause of your barrenness, you have been in this house for 5 years now, can you imagine! I swear to Almighty God, I am not the cause of your barrenness, maybe you should go to the herbalist to confirm. It is either both of us that will die today” and she held kemi’s cloth tightly and beatt her, so kemi screamed and ran to the room, thew second wife laughed knowing that she has injured her with her teeth and said “We just started, I will still deal with her” not knowing kemi was peeping through the window, the second wife said “I am the cause of the death of your first child kunle, and also Fumbi the second child”, this made kemi to weep bitterly in the room as the second wife concluded saying “It remains your last born, who is 6 years old, he will die soon”.
